I went to the store in Aberdeen, NC for a home theater system. I knew one of the managers there was an audiophile like me so I went straight to him. I gave him my budget, and he did a great job of putting a quality system together and only went over budget by $100. This was a Saturday and we set up delivery AND installation for the next Thursday. This is when the problem started. On delivery morning, I get a call from Geek Squad telling me the front speakers aren't in but should be in by the next day. Disappointing but OK, we set up delivery AND installation for Saturday. Saturday comes and I get another call saying they'll be by to drop the equipment off. I explain that I paid for installation but they said no, drop off. I drove to the store and spoke with the original manager. He looked into it and said when they transferred the date, they didn't transfer the install and it wouldn't be done that day. I was furious, having been screwed by Geek Squad before. Now, I had to wait until Monday. That Monday I was out of town, so my wife let the install guy in with the equipment. They sub the work out to MasTec. My wife kept me up to date and eventually said he refused to run the wire for the rear speakers under the carpet. I don't know how he planned on doing it but, he left without doing so. My entire enthusiasm for this project was ruined. I plan on returning the rear speakers and subwoofer this weekend, and, may return the entire system. I don't plan on shopping at BB ever again. They are an incompetent company. I will buy from Crutchfield as they ship for free. On top of that, I applied for their credit card since I would receive a $400 gift card based on my large purchase. I was turned down for credit despite having an 800 score. When I received the letter telling me why, it said they couldn't verify my credit. I had forgotten that I froze my credit so all they had to do was tell me but, no, they just denied me....

I requested from a sales representative the best value 4K Smart TV they had in stock that worked with Google Movies. An employee named Nick led me to an Insignia TV that matched my needs, and said they are able to sell it so cheap because itâs Best Buyâs own brand. He said if I wasnât happy with it, I had until the end of January 2019 to return it.
Only when I drove 45 minutes back home with it and set it up did I find out it cannot install Google Movies at all. So a week later I purchased a different TV from Amazon since all of my movies are on Google. Since the store is so far away and is the closest one to me, I canât just pack up the TV and return it any day I want to. Itâs January 25th now, and Iâve just hired a babysitter and withdrew money for gas only to be told the return window expired on January 12th.
I explained the TV didnât have the feature I asked for, and that I was told I could return it by the end of January, and that I live far away so I couldnât easily just go return it whenever I wanted to. The person I spoke to put Nick on the phone, the one who I originally spoke to on Black Friday.
Nick tells me the return window indeed expired on January 12th, and that heâs sorry for the misinformation and the TV being incorrect, but that he wonât be making an exception for the return because he âcould get in trouble.â
In summary, guy offers me wrong tv, misquotes return policy, and wonât accept the return because he could get in trouble for it. If anybody else at this store were the manager besides the guy who messed up, there probably wouldnât have...

Zero stars deserved!!! Best Buy and Geek Squad terrible rotten customer service! We purchased a TV to be delivered today we choose a window of 12:30 to 4:30pm today. We went with best buy because we thought the tech support would be better and customer service instead of just purchasing online somewhere. The delivery showed up almost 2 hours early with no out call to let us know they were going to be early so of course no one was home. They then refused to wait for someone to make the 10 min drive to get there. I've spent the last hour and half on the phone with the store, another party and finally corporate. Corporate confirmed when we spoke that dispatch told her they were outside the window didn't wait the 15 minutes they are supposed to give the customer to get there and did not give an out call however they would not be coming back because they had already made an attempt to deliver. I'm not one to call someone out or complain but even the lady I spoke to was embarrassed because she knew it was unacceptable. So no TV for us and we can't even go to the store to pick one up because we have to wait for the order to be returned then we can pick it up possibly as early...
