AM Donuts Croissants & More — Restaurant in Abilene

While they may have some of the best donuts around, the parking lot is horrible and the drive-thru is in the most inopportune location. The line always sticks out into the street and the people sitting in that line apparently don't understand the rules of a drive-thru lane (they block traffic on S. Willis). The few times I have been in there it hasn't been too crazily busy, but it took awhile to get waited on. Maybe it's just been the times I've gone in, but they are usually all in the back room and only one person is out front working the drive-thru lane. Plus, it sucks that they do not take debit cards...I, for one, do not carry cash EVER..so it is very inconvenient. I beleive that there is either a State Law, or maybe just an unwritten expectation, that every tiny burg in Texas must have at least one donut shop. Or maybe donuts are simply the State Vitamin and us Texans are serious about our health. Whichever it is the shops are legion, and AM Donuts is a prime and pleasing example. They have a fine slection of donuts, filled pastries, plain and filled croissants, donut holes, and other pastry delights. This location has both walk-in and drive-through service, and though Sunday morning is a bit of a busy time the line moved quickly and efficently. This place has to have the best donuts that I have ever had the pleasure of eating they are amazing however the best part of this donut shop is the incredible service you always receive these are the most respectful and kind people you will ever have the pleasure of interacting with they are so kind I melts my heart and the atmosphere just makes me feel so secure and comfortable it's always clean and has a real good home feel to it if I ever came across someone who thinks Krispy Kreme is better I just know they don't understand the true beauty...
