Creative Cakes of Abilene — Restaurant in Abilene

This review has been a long time coming and should've been written a year ago. I am fixing to order another one of my daughter's birthday cakes from them and decided I needed to finally give my review! Last year for my daughter's first birthday, I had a birthday cake disaster at another bakery in town that was suppose to make my daughter a camo birthday cake (her name is Hunter) hence the camo, I brought in a design and everything and the other bakery said they could do it no problem and it would be perfect. I went in on that Thursday to pick it up before the party on Saturday and almost started to cry or laugh I wasn't sure which I wanted to do when they brought the cake out. It literally looked like my daughter had done the artwork on the cake herself and looked nothing like the design I had brought in or even camo at that, it was a forest possibly with a target on top of some of the trees on one side and it was just BAD. I'm not a picky mom, I would've understood if it didn't look exactly like the design, but at least similar and at least look professional. So I immediately started calling around to pay whatever price it would take to make another cake at that point I didn't care long as we could have one done that would look presentable for her first birthday. That first one is a pretty big deal and there were a lot of guests that would be seeing this cake. I was able to contact Creative Cakes and they looked at the same design and Saturday morning when I picked up her cake I did cry, because it was so much more than even expected with such a short notice and turn around and the price wasn't bad either. I would highly recommend them to anybody and am calling them today to have them do her cake for this year's birthday, as well!! I apologize to Creative Cakes that I didn’t do this review sooner, but you know how busy life gets. It will be 3 years in June that my daughter had her wedding and we gave Creative Cakes a picture of how we wanted her wedding cake and OMG !!! It came out gorgeous it was beautifully done and more than we expected. We also called back later a month before the wedding cause we decided to do a grooms cake also we just talked over the phone and explained what we wanted and it also turned out awesome ! Both cakes were so delicious. My daughter and are expecting a baby in August and I’m going to contact Creative Cakes to do the baby shower cake. Attached are the photos of the two cakes done...

Ordered a cake for 2 separate birthdays but requested both be the same flavor (Strawberry) and first cake tasted fine, just dry and designs were poor quality. second cake wasnt any better at all, super dry and crumbly, but not only that, i can tell the difference between BOX CAKE MIX and a legit homemade cake. these ladies should be ashamed of themselves selling $5 cakes for extreme prices!! never again will i return even if there are no other bakeries available when i can just buy the box mix and frosting myself! sad to say, both cakes had only a few slices taken from them and the rest went to the trash. thanks for ruining...
