I was the only inside customer (North 1st)) location). I arrived at midnight. I was paying with cash, so I couldn't use the app. The inside kiosks were closed. It took 40 minutes for someone to take my order. Multiple delivery services arrived after me and were waited on before me before they even took my order. Once they finally took my order, it took them an hour to make and bring me one McChicken sandwich. A group of young teenagers, apparently friends of the workers came in, and employees felt it was okay to stop what they were doing and chat and laugh and play around. Their friends orders were taken, food delivered, and they left. I was still the only customer inside. Muliple delivery services (DoorDash, Favor and Uber Eats) had come and gone. At least one of which, received a cancelation because it was taking too long. Once their friends were gone and they could see me at my table... a worker came over, asked what I ordered and then brought it to me, with only 15 minutes before the dinning room closed.
On my previous visit to this location (North 1st)... I ordered and paid from the app. I put my table number in just as it said. The girl delivering my food wandered around aimlessly. The app has several pieces of identifying information for accurate and adequate delivery of the order... 1). an order number, 2). a table number, and 3). my freaking name. She was about to turn around and take it back without once announcing any of those pieces of information.
I don't think anyone expects perfection from fast food restaurants in genral. The pace alone leaves alot of room for error. Not to mention the age and attention span of our young people these days.... BUT THIS WAS FLAT OUT RIDICULOUS AND A REGULAR AND REOCCURRING ISSUE AT THIS LOCATION (North 1st Street) SPECIFICALLY. There was obviously no one in charge to keep these kids in line on this specific visit. No one calling out questions about orders, drive thru times, etc.
I can't wait until the inside renovations and remodeling are done at the South 14th (my regular) location. My advice... pick another location, any location other than South 1st, if you expect your order to be delivered in less than an hour... that goes for dinning in and delivery. AND don't be upset with your delivery service... they were doing their best to get your order's in a timely manner. They didn't want to lose your business... it was McDonald's employees that didn't care.
I'm not usually a negative comment reviewer, but something should be done to remedy...

I made a mobile order probably 20 mins before arriving sat in the drive thru about 10 mins before getting to the window the kid working the drive thru was stuffing his mouth with chicken nuggets and chewing while trying to repeat my order and then proceeded to tell me to park in a mobile order spot. I waited for over 30 mins and watched at least 10 cars come and go before me. I finally had enough and went inside to ask about my food. The boy working the drive thru was joking around with an employee while i waited at the counter for a second. I finally said excuse me before he acknowledged me. I told him i had been waiting in a spot for over thirty minutes and asked where my food was he seemed totally flabbergasted and didnt say a word. The manager finally came over and she didnt seem to give a single care in the world either she grabbed my food off the counter which i had seen sitting there bagged up since i walked in and repeated the order. The boy gave me my drink cups. While i was filling the drinks i checked the order. I had ordered a 20 pc, filet o fish, big mac, 2 spicy mcchickens, 2 lg sweet teas, and a happy meal with apple slices and a chocolate milk. 10 of the nuggets where missing, a spicy mcchicken was missing, the chocolate milk was missing the apple slices and all the sauces for the nuggets. I told the manager she didnt seem empathetic at all. She grabbed my missing items and the mcchicken was still wrong and the apple slices where still missing. At this point i was too flustered to correct the order again and walked out. The worse part is that i had grabbed my wife taco bell before coming here and it was stone cold by the time we got my mcdonalds , i mentioned this to the manager, no apologies, no empathy, no refund, no offer for free food. Absolutely ridiculous. I am not even joking when I say one of the worst experiences i have ever had anywhere. I SPENT ALMOST AN HOUR HERE MY FOOD WAS STILL WRONG, MY WIFES TACO BELL WAS COLD AND NOT A SINGLE APOLOGY, RESTITUTION, EVEN SINCERE TONE OR BODY LANGUAGE. NO ONE...
Read moreThis McDonald's is the worst one in Abilene, TX. I'm only giving the atmosphere 2 stars and i have to give it 1 star just to post this for the world to see because was of the only ok part about this place and 1 or 2 employees that was nice. The last 2 time I've come service had been very very poor. I use to go through the drive thru and they mess my order up every time until one of the employees told me to just start ordering on the app. So I did that. The last 2 times I've ordered on the app to do a curbside pick up... the first time I ordered I told them no sesame seed bun just a plain bun they still gave me a sesame seed bun. I gave it back to get a pain bun but they just took the bun of and put it on a plate and gave it to me. Then I went in myself and told them all I wanted was a pain bun. A employee yelled out and said "NOW THIS IS THE THIRD TIME I'VE MADE THIS, NOW WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG NOW." I replied back saying if u did it right the first time you wouldn't have to do it 3 times. I have to wait 15mins for them to get it right finally. By the time I got home the rest of my order was cold and they didn't even want to place it either. Then I ordered again on the the app this pass Friday on the app, by the time I got there and parked to put my spot#, they canceled my order. So I had to go in and see why and the manger on duty said they don't know why it was canceled. So I had to to order inside and that took 20 mins. I ask the manger could I still get my points for having to come in to order and he was rude and said we can't give you point on the inside when you order. I was so mad I just left without checking my order, which I should've because they didn't give me my whole order. I ordered the $5 meal with some more stuff but all i got from that meal was the burger and the drink, not 4pc. Chicken nuggets and small fries.
