What a difference a manager can make to a restaurant.
I've been here before, and considered it well run. That was then.
The order was simple and made inside at the counter. Two Buttermilk Chicken sandwiches and a large caramel frappe. We are both wearing masks and there is a partial safety shield.
The shake comes in three sizes, I specified a large and later repeated that.
The orders are sent to a spot on the counter where they are dropped off, there were other orders there also.
I look in the bag to check it is mine and the size of the shake looks wrong. I pull it out of the bag and grab someone's attention and ask: Is this a large?
It certainly wasn't, it was a small. I tell the about twenty years old clerk that I ordered a large. He goes over and has a discussion with the manager .
The manager comes over and abruptly starts ringing up an order for $2 and twenty something. It is for another small shake.
I didn't ask for two small shakes, I just want the large and I don't mind paying the difference, I told her.
Now comes the completely unexpected and why I will never go back there.
She walks over to the shake machine and quickly makes a large frappe and sets it on the counter. Then she asks me to hand her the small, which is also on the counter. I hand it to her and she tosses it, literally, into the trash bin. It was dripping with disdain.
Some time later, I open the box with my sandwich and the sandwich falls open. It is sloppily made with all the condiments in a lump on one side. Oh, but what the tomatoes looked like. Green and yellow and certainly not knowingly edible.
So there we have the story of a restaurant that has contempt for it's customers.
My original review is below:
One of the better McDonalds around. They make a bit better Frappuccino than most and the service is more attentive. I had wandered outside while waiting for my order and the counter clerk stepped outside to tell me that my food was ready, I have never seen that a Mickey D's before.
A well run shop,...
Read moreWe have 2 kids and live close to this Mc Donalds. We normally go through the drive through and normally the order is wrong or missing items. I have made countless trips back to the place from home to get something they forgot to put in the bag or a sandwich that was supposed to be plain. I usually think that's life, people make mistakes. This place just does it so frequently. This time the place was not that busy at 6pm and all the drive through wait slots were full. They told me to wait and after a FEW minutes, someone came out with 3 or bags of food. One of which belonged to another car waiting. He asked us first and I said we have a happy meal and then he said "I think your order was given to someone else." Then he proceeded to the other cars and was asking them if it was their order. The people would look through the bags and the happy meal after pulling it into their car and give it back to him. He held one of the handles on the happy meal with the box wide open. I was thinking as he walked between cars thinking that is getting cold. He went to all the vehicles. It turns out it was ours. He said sorry about that as he handed us the bag and happy meal opened up. Some people give it a good rating... they either ate their one time or work for Mc Donalds trying to get this rating to 3 stars. Its kind of funny being near the highway thinking how many cars went through drive through and jumped back on the highway only to find out they are missing something or got someone else's lunch. I have gone inside and you can tell management is not on top of it. People are standing around looking at each other wondering why its taking so long. You can have 8 people waiting at the pick up counter while someone cleans the front and another moves like molasses. Oblivious to how bad the situation looks. There is another Mc Donalds on Jiles... I will go there.. Even if its farther away.. hoping I wont have to...
Read moreI have been here multiple times, at various times of the day. During the day, doesn't seem too bad or slow moving, but around 10 or 11pm, the service is absolutely horrible. I'm currently typing this review while sitting in my parked car in line after ordering. It took 20 full minutes just to get to the drive-thru com, and 10 minutes of that was waiting right in front of the com system waiting to give my order of 2 Oreo McFlurries. I'm now 8 minutes after placing my order, and I haven't even gotten to the payment window yet... this length of wait time has happened on at least two other occasions. The line isn't even wrapped around the building on the other side.
The ONLY reason I am not giving one star is because during the day and rare times during the night I've gotten lucky but at three times if this happening... This is just too much!! I have now seen 4 people get out of line either after or before ordering.
Whereas there were at least 8 or so cars behind me when I first got there, there was only one that had recently driven up that was there. I think there was only one or two employees working there, only one I saw, so that might be why, and she was pleasant and said sorry for the wait. I am glad they didn't say the mcflurry machine wasn't working, because that has happened to me before for later in the night.
Anyway, management really needs to get enough people working the late shifts because I just left at 11:39, having gotten there around 11:10pm. Enough people had left the drive-thru that my order wasn't the next in line so I had to wait for mine then.
Good luck, I hope...
