Wendy's — Restaurant in Acworth

I went to Wendys to pickup dinner for my family (we all love wendeys), but my experience was nothing of wendys standard...

Since I was picking up food to take home for dinner I decided to go through the drive thru. I waited there for 10 minutes or so behind 2 cars. The car at the ordering window was simply waiting for the person to take their order. The window attendant was otherwise occupied... so I decided to go inside instead.

I pulled out of the line and parked my car. Walked up to the door where I was stopped by a sign that said "Dining room closed until further notice". What? So I thought ugh okay I will just get back in the drive thru line, which by that time another car had gotten in front of me (no bigy). The crazy thing is that the 1st car was STILL waiting to order!?

Eventually they did, and so did the next car. But the 3rd was greeted by "thanks for choosing wendys, hold on one moment". We proceeded to wait another 10minutes for the attendant to return. She didnt. The lady in the car yelled "hello? Is anyone there". She got a response and was finally able to order.

Yay it was finally my turn!! The attendant was kind and promptly took my order, then I pulled around the corner.... to my surprise the very 1st car in line was STILL at the pickup window!?!?! Needless to say I sat in the line for another 10minutes.... I checked all of the food in my bags, they got the order correct (hallelujah). But as I pulled away I thought to taste one of the fries... 😝YUCK. They tasted as though they were leftovers from yesterday. Very1 frustrated at this time i decided to just continue home. My family was waiting. I got home (I live 5minutes away) all of our fries were old and gross, the burger patties were old, dry and SMOTHERED in ketchup & mayo, my grandmother and I's chicken nuggets were very old and dry. We are very disappointed in Wendy's and will not be returning to this...

Bottom line: Don't forget to ask for utensils needed.

We typically use the drive thru most of the time. This visit, we were just looking for water, so we ordered 3 Fries, 3 Frosties and 3 small Water. (Because the small waters are free) The service was friendly, the food was exactly as we hoped for, and we really don't have any major complaints. However... we pulled up to the window for our food, and were warmly greeted as we paid, and then we were given our Frosties and Fries with a smile. 😊 Then we waited. The server looked confused as he reopened the window asking what we were waiting for. "Waters?" I replied. He responded apologetically and politely, hurrying up to get our waters. He gave us 3 large waters instead of small... probably to make up for the fact they had been forgotten. It was hot out, so we appreciated the larger quantity of water. I'm not about to complain! 😉 We get on our way, drinking water, eating fries, and a mile down the road, go for the frosties. There were NO SPOONS in our bag! Most other locations generally include straws, spoons, etc in the bags with food, but this was not the first time this location forgot to give us spoons or forks. Not a huge deal, but... Note to self: remember to ASK this location for eating utensils...

If I could give zero stars I would! Almost everytime I come here the food is cold. Today I came twice once for lunch once for dinner. Each time the food was cold and had to be remade. At dinner I came inside to return the food and eat. As I was observing while Eating the remade food I began to wonder how they scored aone was wearing hairnets the manager was eating fries standing there while passing food out the window a lot of them have piercings and jewelry that could easily fall in someone’s food. One girl has lots of nose rings. They seem to talk a lot rather than work and clean. The one girl with the nose rings has went back and fourth from the bathroom to the back multiple times I don’t think she has washed her hands. I could hear her gagging while cleaning the restroom and now everyone is on their phones Today is Monday April 24th 8:24 pm there’s also a guy who is not in uniform sitting on the counter I’m starting to lose my appetite I don’t think I’ll be coming...
