Went in about 8:00 on a Monday night for dinner. It's not a huge place and I'd say it was about 37% filled. You know a good business but plenty of room to move about. Really loved the atmosphere of the place from when I first walked in. Looks really nice and well done. Assign greeted me that said please wait to be seated so I did. And waited and waited. There was a girl working the bar who saw me and just ignored me. Not a smile not I will be right with you not a nothing. In fact I don't think I saw her smile once the whole night but it's not like I was watching just observing the place. I'm sure it wasn't that long but it was certainly long enough to where you stand around and start to question yourself what the heck. Eventually a guy came out of the back with some food and looked over and said be right there. That's cool I certainly don't mind waiting after I've been acknowledged. If I had been worthly of an acknowledgment from lady I probably wouldn't have even mentioned the wait but she made it stick out in my mind. He seeded me politely and asked for my drink order. Took off to get it giving me a chance to look over the menu. There were quite a few things on this menu I really would have loved to try. However only in town for one meal so I had to choose and I had to choose wisely. I chose the Philly cheesesteak. I also wanted some clam chowder. My server asked me if I wanted a cup or a bowl I kind of waffled and went with a cup he looked at me shook his head and said no you want a bowl. I was convinced I got a bowl. So I get my water and order. The wait wasn't terribly long and while waiting observed the restaurant a bit. The place definitely seems to have his regulars as a lot of people greeted to each other by name. Really nice friendly patrons all having a nice relaxed good evening. Great vibes in this place to me. My soup came out fairly quickly and I am so glad I was steered to the bowl instead of a cup. Their clam chowder was some of the best I've ever had. Chocked full of big clams with an excellent chew. Not long after I finished my soup my sandwich came out. I knew just from the look I had made the right call. Although I do prefer provolone over cheese whiz this was an amazing sandwich. The meat was cooked perfectly as were the onions and peppers. Just a slight tad of gristle but that's to be expected. The fries were good but just through my own personal fry preference they weren't a winner for me. As I finished up my server came over with the check. He came back shortly with the box I asked for and my card and that. I left a few minutes later to the same fanfare that had greeted me. I don't know maybe I'm just used to Southern restaurants where usually somebody always hollers at you. I do know next time I have to drop off or pick up a load in Adams Mass that AJ's will be on my itinerary.

Meh. We came to town for the Christmas train and this seems to be the only place to eat. We got there and it was busy! But we were prepared to wait so we parked a street over and walked there. However when checking in, we were told there is no where to wait and told we should wait in our car and they would find us when our table was ready. Hmmmm not a great system when we have 2 little children and a cold rainy day. Other places tell you they can take your number and text you when your table is ready. Luckily a parking spot opened so we could move our car to the lot and wait in it. So finally we were seated and the place is just kind of old and dirty. Ok fine. My kids had chicken and fries from the kids menu, I had the Reuben and fries and my husband had the clam basket. Prices were fair and our waitress was nice. The food was fine, not great but not gross. I will return only if I have to, if we’re in the area and my kids are hangry.

First thing to mention is their phenomenal Bloody Mary's -A MUST AT LEAST ONCE! The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with upbeat staff. Food portions are unique and massive at beer wages! If you decide to tackle the Bloody Mary's, do yourself the favor and split one meal between 2 guests, unless you're a lover of leftovers by all means get your own plates. I'm so glad to have finally found my way to AJ's, yet slightly disappointed I've been missing out for this long! This is a perfect spot for all genres of going out; first date, 20th wedding anniversary, hanging with friends, going solo, date night with the kiddos. It pleases all! *pictured below is the Bloody Mary and The "Homewrecker"*

I came across this place while trying find a place to eat, my Wife places the order ahead of time for a 5:30 pm pickup time,My wife ordered a plain b BBQ Burger without the fixings that normally would come on a burger and after we had a 30 minute drive round trip, I opened my burger and there were Onion Rings on top of my burger, I tried calling back for 15 minutes and the line was busy, I was not planning on going back deciding that I would take a picture of the Burger and then try to call again and hopefully someone would answer the phone and explain what had happened and that I would like a refund for my Burger, My Wife was determined to go back so as we were making the 15 minute drive back she kept calling and kept getting a busy signal, as I was in the vicinity of the restaurant I told my Wife to stop calling, I arrived and went inside and explained to the server at the door that I was not impressed and very disappointed, I explained what happened and she asked what would I like to do and I asked her if the phone was off the hook and she says no, I explained to her that my Wife&I were calling for 15 minutes and the phone was busy then we kept calling until we got closer and was still busy so she says someone had asked her where the phone was and she says she told the person it was in her back pocket and she was told it was off the hook, I told her I had to drive 30 minutes and at that time it was an hr ago that I had picked up my food, I again told her I was disappointed and not satisfied and the only thing they could offer was to remake the Burger&Fries, she spoke to the cook and asked him to remake the food as it wasn't made to my order so I explained to them how I wanted the Burger made and she says the Burger should have been ordered as a plain Burger, I would have gotten a plain Burger if it was an option on the menu as the BBQ Burger is a different Burger. I waited another 10 minutes for my Burger to be remade, I will NOT be returning to this establishment as the...

My partner and I went into AJ's a few weeks after she went in to use the bathroom inside once and saw some amazing fries on her way out. Starting off, I didn't quite like the atmosphere inside, though I'll admit it was my first time eating at a pub or bar. We were seated quickly and got our drinks just a little bit afterwards. We ordered chicken tenders as an appetizer, then chicken marzala and a swiss mushroom burger as our entrées. The tenders were crispy and well seasoned and the buffalo sauce on the side was amazing, and honestly I wanted to order more. The burger was okay, a bit underseasoned, but nothing a little salt couldn't fix. The chicken marsala was... Disappointing. Underseasoned and bland sauce, overcooked chicken, and mushrooms that still tasted heavily like the alcohol used in the sauce (tasted like bourbon to me, though I may be wrong). This place cemented the fact that I'll never eat at a pub or bar like this again. Not to mention I found a fly at the bottom of my lemonade. All in all, a rather disappointing experience. I will commend the...
