This is simply the best place if you want FRESH & QUALITY seafood. While the prices are inline and some times cheaper than other stores, their products are always as fresh as can be and blow away the quality of anything you might find anywhere else in Chicagoland. They also carry quite the great assortment of hard to find foods such as crawdads, alligator, escargot and more. The number one thing I buy from here is lobster tails, you just can't beat the price and quality of the lobster here. And their oyster are great too! The guys behind the counters always offer useful advice on finding the right oyster for your palette and wallet. I've been a customer here for over thirty years, as a chef in the northwest side of Chicago for many year's supreme lobster was the go to for fresh fish.Today I visited the store for the first time in years, my daughter fancied some mussels so I asked the young lady the harvest date on the mussels they had exposed, the answer was 10/22/18, I said WOW is that all you have? She asked one of her associate the same question she came back yep that's all we have.She stepped aside and murmurs what I have said, then I asked the young girl again to look in the back the other girl said there all the same batch..But she managed to come out with a much recent harvest date...Buying something today is like going...

I always knew that Supreme Lobster was a seafood distributor for restaurants but did not know there was a storefront for the public. If you are looking for the largest variety and freshest fish, come here. The selection is overwhelming and the quality is unmatched. There is also a large section of frozen seafood that has everything from abalone and king crab legs to every size of shrimp. The folks behind the counter will remove the fish skin if that's your preference.
