I had been to this place a few times several months ago, and it was pretty good. Always got Taro tea. Today I went in wanting to try something different as well as get something for my son who is dairy free.
I wanted to try their Jasmine milk tea. This is a common tea found at most Boba places. Some use it aa their classic tea, some don't so I had to ask. First off they hire uneducated employees that don't know the first thing about the product they are selling. Mind you I am learning and exploring Boba teas, but have been to two other places that sell Jamsine. I asked the young lady at the register do they offer Jasmine milk tea. Her response was we only have Thai milk teas. I have no idwa what that means, so I ask, and she is also clueless. Which is not as big of an issue, maybe she's new. The problem came when I asked her could she find out and she kept repeating, its just Thai tea until I asked her again to go ask. The bigger issue came when the person she asked, who I assume was the most knowledgeable person there responded with an attitude and gave the same answer the first girl gave, its JUST Thai tea. So, I asked, is it green, is it Black tea? Her response: its Orange...still with attitude as if she was exasperated with being asked about products, that she's selling. I gave up on trying the Thai tea, and asked if their Jasmine tea...which they do have, could be made with one of their non-dairy milks. Her response, was no, only whats on the menu.
I gave up on getting a drink for me and just decided to focus on whatever dairy free milk tea I could get for my son. I knew the Taro was pretty good, so now I was back communicating with the first young lady. I asked was the Taro powder, or any of their powder bases dairy free. My son is not picky. She began to tell me that she wasn't sure, but they could add any non milk to their powders. That didnt answer my question and definitely wasnt comfortinh, so I again explained to her that he has an allergy. She then says, well yes its dairy free. I asked her to please confirm. The other lady whp had been helping her was clueless as well and acted as if the entire thing was bothering her, but went to look at the back of the package. And then confirmed that there was milk in the powder. At this point, it would be a waste of energy to ask about any of the others bc none of them knew their product or about allergens, and wouldve had to read the back of each one. I decided to go to Starbucks and grab us both an iced Matcha latte. But this experience was horrible. The people who work there now, are not only uneducated about what they sell, but also about customer service and tact. Horrible experience. I will stick with Fat Straws or Feng Cha where they are happy to tell you about their offerings and educate you if needed. ( I have since learned what Thai tea is, via google and hope to try it, but...
Read moreIm pretty disappointed that I have to make this kind of review, since I rearly review places. I've been here more then once and have enjoyed majority of their drinks, but after today I am unsure if I wish to return to this location ever again. My husband and I ordered two drinks from this place, mind you we were the only ones there. When we walked in, the lady behind the cash register did not say anything and seemed unfriendly when placing our order. (There were also 2 extra people behind the counter) I did not get very good vibes from this place. Once arriving home, I took a sip of my drink and noticed my drink tasted grainy which was the tea residue that sits at the bottom of the Thai tea after being brewed. Just proves how unprofessional the ladies at this place were, since we saw them laughing as we were leaving the parking lot. I hope these people do better at their job when representing someone else's business and I hope others have a better experience then we did. Update: I posted another photo of what it should...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for about 4 years now and I can honestly say it’s still my favorite boba place in DFW! The place is small but has such a cute vibe! The staff is normally a bit quiet and reserved, so don’t be put off by that. The drinks though have always been stellar! Pictured is the green tea KitKat smoothie, and DAMN this is one of my favorites! Sweet (but not TOO sweet) with a delicious taste of the green tea KitKats. It has some small bits of it mixed into the drink as well. I’ve had their chocolate overload drink which is super sweet and rich but sooooo delicious! Sex on the beach is another banger, along with their lychee treat. If they have it, pair yogurt boba with the lychee tea and you won’t be disappointed! This is a great spot to grab a little dessert from after a good meal (like from Higuma just a couple stores...
