Barf. I’m not going back to this location. 2 years ago the food was better and the service was better. It’s my son’s birthday and I treated him to Red crab in Addison today. When I walk in a black female with a baseball cap seated me put the menus down on the table and quickly rushed off to go sit with another coworker.
I sat down knowing i needed to ask a question, so I signaled to her for help, she looks at me like what you want? She did not walk back over to me, she continued to stand in the back (loud music playing) saying huh? Huh? 🤔 I asked my question, if they offer anything for birthdays? Her response was a piece of cake and they can play a birthday song.
The other black female with twists walked over like she was not in the mood to do her job, asking what I wanted to drink? Smh normally I walk out of establishments like this being rude right off the bat but my son was almost there. My son gets there, we order our food. Food comes out both orders are wrong.
My son ordered seafood with all corn no potatoes. Simple order. The order comes out with one corn and 3 potatoes. The waitress repossesses the potatoes off his plate and replaced it with one piece of corn. What the ghetto?? That was just ghetto. What restaurant takes food off your plate when they got the order wrong?? You either leave the food and bring out the correct item or you REDO his order in the kitchen not in front of us!!! Duh.
My plate comes out, I order seafood with a side of green muscles. They bring me my food with black muscles. I told the waitress about it and all she did was apologize. Why not REDO my order with the correct items???!! The sauce wasn’t good, it doesn’t taste like it did two yrs ago, the crab legs were overcooked and mushy, the muscles were overcooked. Disgusting. Disgusted with the food, disgusted with the service. No manager came over to check on us while we were there. They never brought my son’s cake. This place is whack and I’ll never spend...
Read moreThe food had good flavor, however, the service was mediocre. To make a long story short they left out shrimp and corn from my order and when I called to let them know, I was left on hold for a while and then was asked for my name and number so that the manager could call me back when they were free. I then asked if I could simply come back and grab my items that I paid for and they said that was fine to just bring my food with my receipt. The staff nor the manager never once apologized, but tried to lead me to believe that the reason the items were left out was because of what I ordered and how I ordered it. The proper response from a manager should’ve included an apology and the missing items. Instead, I was led to believe that I didn’t do something, right. Not to mention they did not look at my order thoroughly prior to coming to me with this lame explanation. No one asked for my name until after they told me I did not do something the correct way when ordering. This is not how you run a business! I would not hassle anyone for something as small & minuscule as two side items that don’t even cost much but that wasn’t the point. I am the customer and should’ve been treated with more respect. I feel my intelligence was tested not to mention I paid for 1 pound of shrimp and half a pound of sausage. The menu never allowed me to pick two items as the menu item stated. So when I finally received all of my items, I’m sure that some of my shrimp were removed as im led to believe the manager thought that I received too much food. It’s never worth the fight but I just hope that in the future customer service will be better here. My friends have asked how the food was and I let them know that I did enjoy the flavor however, I would not be returning because of how I was treated. From one black woman to another, we must stop belittling each other and lift one another up. That was personal, and you know...
Read moreI visited Red Crab with my 5 friends on a Friday night around 7pm. The location is good with ample parking in the back. This place has actually been a nightclub a few times in the past, as well as another seafood sports bar. They have patio seating in the front. We chose to eat inside to avoid flies. The inside was clean, spacious, and decorated well if that matters. They have a bar with seating as well. We were seated at a large table. Our waiters were Messiah and Christian. They were very attentive, knowledge about the menu, and friendly. We ordered strawberry mojitos and hennyritas which were DELISH. 5 stars to the young lady who was doing her thing with the drinks. The food was great. Seasoned well. Ample quantity. We all had the boil bags with a variety of seafood; crab, mussels, shrimp. We also ordered hush puppies that were so-so. Good food. Great service. Excellent drinks. So why only 3 stars?????? Because the music was a MAJOR vibe killer. The speakers were pumping out top 10 beach resort songs from 2018. We did request a change to at least make it a variation of radio hits with some urban thrown in. They played 3 songs (I can name them all) and then went right back to Hilton Cabo's playlist. WTH??? Even PFChang's has a better playlist than this place. This matters because when you're out on a Friday night with your friends enjoying food and drinks, EVERY song shouldn't be killing your vibe. A nice radio mix would have been fine. I know other places to get the same or better food and service that do a better job of creating and MAINTAINING a good vibe for their customers who are spending $50+ To the Manager: Thanks for the 3 songs you played. Try streaming a clean radio mix of top songs of 2020....
