Snuffer's Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Addison

Snuffer's had fallen out if favor with my lunch crowd several years back, when they were still on Midway. When they moved to Beltline, we decided to give them another try. Now, we eat here at least once a week.

The burgers are really good. The mushroom swiss is very popular with my lunch crowd and I recommend the bleu cheese bacon and fried jalapeno burgers. A couple of the guys swear by the steak fingers that come with a side of gravy. But, if you'd like something more basic, not to worry, the Snuffer's Classic tops the menu.

The burgers are worth the effort, no doubt, but Snuffer's offers one item that takes this place up a couple of notches: cheese fries. They have, hands down, the best cheese fries I have ever had. The fries are percect for making cheese fries (hand cut) and then they load on the cheese. Not just across the top of the fries, but layered generously throughout. So there's none of this running out of cheese when eating your cheese fries business. Finally, they top it all off with generous amounts of chives, bacon and jalapenos, with lots of ranch dressing for drizzling or dipping. We typically get a large, which feeds four well or five adequately. So much so that none of us orders a side fries with the burger. One of the guys in our group frequently just orders his own large cheese fries for his meal. I generally refer to our cheese fries habit as "the triple bypass special". You have got to try this!

One thing to be aware of is that medium-rare is the default temperature for their burgers. That's a bit rare for ground meat to my way of thinking. Generally, the wait staff will ask you for your preferred temperature, but if they don't,...

I’ll start out on a good note by saying the food was very delicious! I had the grilled chicken platter with veggies and onion rings. I also enjoyed the queso and salsa. However when my friends and I sat down, it was about 5 minutes before we got noticed. We asked for waters and noticed our server was at the host stand talking instead of bringing the waters. A different server actually brought us our waters at the same time our food was being brought to us also by a different server. We were checked on once by our server when our food had first arrived but after that, she was no where to be found. My boyfriends dish was incorrect and we had to wave down another different server to correct our meal. He was very nice and actually did more for us than our server. He brought us silverware and some condiments. We are all servers and bartenders so we understand if a server is busy or new but it was so empty that we couldn’t come up with a good reason for the such terrible service. Me and my boyfriend just moved to the state, and Snuffer’s has become our absolute favorite place to eat. We LOVE the service and the food! First time we came here, Daniel was our server and he gave us AMAZING service, he was attentive, had a super upbeat attitude, and suggested great things to eat, like the Nashville cheddar fries which are now my favorite, and he was so friendly. We came back again because of him and tonight our server was Edgar and he was also really attentive, always on top of everything, has a great attitude and is so friendly!! We will continue to come back for the amazing service and the amazing food. Also, on a side note, Danita was just as great as Edgar and Daniel. She noticed my boyfriends tattoos and came over to strike up a conversation and was really cool! She was really polite and helped us set up the Snuffers app so that we could gain points and receive rewards. All in all, best service I’ve ever had in my life.
