The Quarter Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Addison

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!! Last night me and couple of my friends decided to meet at this place for few drinks as we have been regulars here, but after the incident from last night i would not suggest anyone to really hang out. it was almost at 2am when a male came outside holding a beer with a group of people and started to yell that is time to go and he repeatedly continued saying after few seconds it eventually got us annoyed and we told him to mind his business that is when a female from his group started to scream at us and tell us that he works here and she started to argue with us while the male was standing behind her and then he threatened us saying to meet us outside in the parking lot. we called the manager and surprisingly she was just listening to the whole argument and seemed like she was protecting her male employee who was intoxicated and yelling at us. Eventually when me and my friends walked out of the patio we saw the intoxicated male employee waiting for us in the parking lot with his female partner who was threating that they have a firearm and they will shoot at us. it was a very disturbing night for me and my friends and the shocking part of the story is that their own employee is intoxicated and the staff did not bother to move them away from us. We had to call the law enforcement eventually and let them know that this is what we happened but Guys seriously Watch Out of this place...

I come here every once in a while with my friend. I used to sit at the bar or patio, but now we always sit at the same corner table, and it is usually the same man who serves us (sorry, I never remembered your name). He is very friendly, knows the menu, seems to remember us whenever we return, and deals with my bad humor when I drink.

Food is always great, especially their pizzas! We order the muffaletta pizza every time and love it. In fact, I only found this place two or so years ago when my friends and I met a nice woman at the Chili's down the street who said we had to try the muffaletta here. I almost always also get an appetizer and have never been disappointed. The cheese curds, friend mac and cheese, friend mozarella, mini corn dogs, quesadilla, and, especially, meat pies are wonderful.

This place also allows smoking indoors, so that's a big plus for me, especially in this weather. Honestly, my heart wants to take off half a star because they never carry oysters (the sign outside their doors taunts me), but I get why they stopped with the pandemic.

I originally gave this place only 4 stars for the atmosphere because it gets so loud, but then I remembered it was a bar and...

It was so cigarette smoke smelling in there we didn't stay. If they had a better ventilation system it probably would have been a great time. The music was nice and it looked nice inside, really big, but the smell was like an ashtray so we had to leave. I didn't even sit down (we walked in to meet a friend and was like let's find somewhere else less "80s/90s cigarette bar smelling" and left). When we got in our vehicles we had to roll down the windows to let the smoke smell on us go some. Please get some type of ventilation system, I'd love to stay and try out the menu etc!

PS- We went to another venue right up the street that had live music and allowed smoking inside, and I saw people smoking cigarettes BUT it did not smell like an ashtray inside because they had good ventilation, so I know this...
