Nail Bloom — Local services in Addison

Today was my first time back here in about a month. And they've raised their prices which is not a problem, it's expected. But, usually I get a manicure for $10 because I don't have any polish on and I don't want any polish put on either as I do my own gel at home. But the lady that is there now refuses to do that. So last time I was here I just decided not to get the manicure service at all and just get the pedicure. So this time I decided not to take off my gel polish myself beforehand and pay for the manicure. They raised their prices to $25 for a basic manicure. Okay not a problem because you're going to be taking off my gel. The guy hands me the gel polish remover and a scraper and asks me to take it off myself. ME, THE PAYING CUSTOMER. In what world does that make sense? And then he writes down $25. And I said to him I did half the work all you did was cut my cuticles, why $25? So obviously he didn't get a tip for the two-and-a-half hours he just worked on me because his tip would have been $40 but because they so egregiously charged me $25 to cut my cuticles and soak my fingers and some water for a minute, he got nothing and they have now lost a customer as well. And the few friends that I have that I know for a fact go here will be contacted immediately and told never to return to this establishment again. We may not all spend a whole lot of money when we come individually but collectively, it's going to be a nice little loss for you and your company.

**UPDATE: I was too embarrassed but now it's 2024 and IDC. Everyone needs to know. I got a pedicure that same day. After what happened there and not having somewhere to go get another pedicure my polish stayed on for a couple extra weeks. When I took it off I was disgusted. I CONTRACTED A FUNGUS. MY TOENAIL IS GONE. GONE. And NOTHING is working to get rid of it. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

P.S.- THEY OBVIOUSLY DO NOT CARE BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT ONCE TRIED TO CONTACT ME REGARDING THIS...

I could not recommend Nail Bloom more highly! I received the most comprehensive, relaxing pedicure I have EVER received at a nail salon. I got the Lava Spirits (CBD Volcano) for a price that I have received basic pedicures at other places. While other nail salons might offer a short foot and leg massage, Nail Blooms Lava Spirits (CBD Volcano) foot and calf massage lasted easily over 20 minutes. It was an indulgent experience that feels like you are receiving a top quality pedicure on top of the best massage you could ever receive at a foot massage place. The warm CBD Volcano wax also left my feet and legs tingling pleasantly long after the pedicure. I have literally received just a basic pedicure (only treated the nails and calluses with no hot wax, 20+ foot and calf massage, etc.) for higher prices than I paid for the Lava Spirits pedicure!

While I was getting my dream pedicure (and power full body massage in Nail Bloom’s state of the art massage chairs), my 14 yo daughter was getting a manicure with the results pictures posted. My ex takes my daughter to other nail salons and her nails look basic, monochrome with little design features. As you can see in the photos, my daughter’s Christmas themed nails were pure artistry with detailed designs and she loved the experience!

Nail Bloom also has an open bar, great state of the art full body massage chairs, and sweet nail techs and a highly attentive management staff! The experience is more like you would receive at a top end spa/massage studio with the transparent nail prices that are the most reasonable I have seen at any other nail salons, again without all the added features!

Easy 5-star Experience and Pricing! Would love to add stars if I could to emphasize the difference in quality versus other...

Not sure if I begin at the botched job on my nails or the rude woman who checked me out, but here goes. I took my daughters and my niece here for a girls day out. Combined we had 2 pedicures and 4 manicures. For my mani, I asked the lady to paint them white and picked out the color but right before she started she offered me a different color and tried to assure me I would like it. As I watched her paint I stopped her. I did not like the color at all and asked if she would just use the color I originally chose. She agreed and then started to paint on top of the old color. I have nearly 8 layers of gel polish on my nails now. It’s thick and gnarly. She offered to take it off and redo them but with all of the services I’ve been here nearly 2 hours and I’m just tired and want to go home. At checkout I told them I wasn’t willing to pay full price given how bad my nails looked and how it was not what I asked for. The lady at the counter said a lot of things including (a) well she already did the work so you have to pay (b) if I give you a discount I have to give everyone a discount (c) they don’t look that bad to me and (d) well I can’t do anything about it only the nail tech who did it can offer you a discount. Simply ridiculous. In the midst of it all another nail tech remarked that I was “being too picky”. Finally another lady gave me a discount on my manicure. Which is all I wanted. I paid full price for the other 5 services I had. I’ve been here several times before and have never been treated poorly, but it only takes once. I won’t be back. 3 stars for a job well done on the other services.

UPDATE: In spite of them putting a ridiculous 8 layers of gel on my nails, they have already started...
