My mother just ordered a pizza from this Gionino's. She bit into her Mediterranean pizza and was complaining about how the crust was thinner and the pizza was darker than she was used to. She's a decades-old Loyalty Member with them, and has been ordering once a week - minimum - for at least a decade. She bit into a slice and found the plastic piece of a wide-rimmed earring back in her slice. She called them to inform him that there was an earring back in her pizza and the manager of the store told her that she was lying ("Not telling the truth", specifically), said that only 2 of their employees are women, and that none of them have earrings. He did not ask about her health and safety or if she was okay after having come into contact with potentially someone else's bodily fluids, did not apologize, did not acknowledge that it was even a legitimate occurrence, and implied that she was calling to try and get her pizza reimbursed for free, which she never asked for. She was wanting nothing more than for it to be remade. He told her to "Call the Health Department and the County" after she'd told him specifically that she worked for the county and that she had no interest in extracting a reimbursement: she simply expected common respect and decency. My mother has hypertension, and is a long-term customer that deserved to be treated better than if she were some ghetto garbage individual trying to scam the manager for a free meal. They have no way to directly contact ownership, and no corporate number: she did not want to go up there afterwards, because she was afraid she'd get too upset and subject herself to further harm. Bodily fluids coming in contact with your mouth could cause a litany of contractable diseases to inhabit her body, the least of all are things like Syphilis, HIV, or some other chronic/incurable illness. There's no telling whether or not this rude manager would spit in the pizza if he'd remade it or not. If my mother hadn't called me to spare him: I'd have made a trip there of my own and hurt his feelings for the way he...
Read moreIt normally is okay. What I get is 12 whole wings and Jojos. I normally call and order after work at 10:30 pm and it’s done. I request extra crispy or fried hard or whatever food location considers it. The Basement says fried hard. It’s never like the way I won’t it,but it has a good flavor so I don’t complain. It already cost 20.40 cent for 12 wings. I’m normally trying to rationalize the fact I spent that. Put it’s never a problem cause I love it. Thursday I request can I get my wings “fried hard”. The woman that answered phone said “ don’t you mean, extra crispy. Nothing can be fried hard”. I explained that other facilities call it different things. On my drive there, realized I just had to defend myself over my food. Called ta 9:32pm. It normally takes less than 30 mins for them to be done. My boyfriend goes in and she says” well she wanted it extra crispy so it takes longer. He comes outside. I was taken a back that she said that. When I went back in and ask for my “ extra crispy” wings and they still aren’t done. Almost at 1hr at this point. My boyfriend went back in to get the wings and he said she just shoved the box in his hand.Get the home and it was no different from when I get them less than 30 mins or almost an hour. She told me 30 mins after the end of our call. So have they been cooking it at wrong time all these times I’ve got it or did she do it that way because she was mad at me. I love their food. Especially the veggie pizza, just disappointed with the experience. Put them in the oven to get it firmly crispy. It isn’t fall off the bone crispy crunchy crust, so I didn’t think saying”fried hard” would be a big issue. I’ve bee bypassing this alert for a review for days. Didn’t want to do it. I wouldn’t say don’t go there. This was just a jacked experience. Guess she didn’t feel “ the customers always right”1081 pizzeria are in there old building. Close to school. They are always nice. Kitchen staff and all. I eat there everyday almost. They just don’t have the same...
Read moreI placed a delivery order over the phone at the north hill store and a woman took my order and told me my order will be delivered in 1hr and 45 mins. Then I received my order 2hrs. Later and when I opened my box it's not the wings I ordered so I called and spoke with a woman and I explained that I ordered food and when it got to my home it wasn't the the right order of wings I ordered a small order of jo Jo's and 12 party breaded wings. When I received the order it was the small order of jo Jo's and 12 wings sitting in some kinda sauce. She put me on hold for 10 minutes come back to tell me she got two options for me I can either bring the wings back and they will switch them out or they'll give me a credit. Because they were backed up on deliveries. I order food today for today not to have a credit to eat another day. I told her I order delivery because I don't have transportation then she said oh well she don't know what to tell me she told me I'm going to have to just eat those wings I explained that's not what I ordered if they can just refund me my money another young lady in the background hollering she just want free food.
