Where do I start im flying in from Las Vegas for a wedding on September 16, 2023. Check in wasn't until 3pm but the wedding started at 3pm, so I tried to call to get a early check-in the hotel phones were down. Then I found a place to change from our flight clothes to the wedding attire. Made it to the wedding. The two hours in-between for the wedding party to take pictures I went to the hotel to try to check-in. When I got there the host was very rude and I pre-paid for a king bed $171.73 before time on my credit card. The host insisted I leave a card with the front desk, She advised me that no more money would be charged to me. Lies the hotel charged my debit card another $201.15 š.... Went upstairs the room was a queen bed and I paid for a king. The room was so small like a closet I said no way you in total going to charge me all together $371.15 for a room for one night double charges no... I wasn't in the room 30mins went back down to complain about my card being charged again for something I pre-paid fir and I got a queen bed instead of a king host was so rude the worst service ever!!! She claimed she could fix the matter I just requested all my money back and asked for her to cancel all reservations right there same day of the wedding during cotail hour before the wedding reception. With no where to stay at this point and I'm 2100 hundred miles from home along with my mom who is 74 and tired. We took all aer things back down stairs as I proceeded to agure with the host about returning my money in which she claimed she did but that's not true because I called the bank. We go to the reception was nice tried 4 hotels all full now almost 1am in the morning running off 3hours of sleep with no where to stay. I have family in cleveland in which I had to drive there 40 minutes away to stay over night so we could get up for are flight next day flying out 5pm that Sunday afternoon so all this in not even 48 hours horrible. At least the wedding was gorgeous but my hotel experience if I could give a zero I would. Now back home and found out from the bank the charge is still sticking on my account and we didn't stay an hour in the hotel!!! I want my money back from this little match box hotel I the bank will proceed to dispute the charges now were at the 18 and they still have my money. There is no corporate number to call and theamager Frank Inganlioni is pose to call me back waiting on him to reverse my charges. Worst experience of all time never again don't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBLU-Tique is amazing! I honestly was not expecting much going into this experience, as I only choose this hotel due to the close proximity to Canal Field in downtown Akron. Upon arrival, the hotel is immediately charming with its Art Deco styling. I am thankful for Carolyn at the front desk, as she was immediately friendly and additionally helpful in resolving a booking situation I had. As far as the dĆ©cor goes, renovations have been done carefully to preserve the buildings character, but also keeping it up to date. The marble walls and water fountains on the room floors are so unique. The rooms maintain the Art Deco vibe, with ultra-low beds and decorations. The ceilings are tall and my double-bed room seemed particularly spacious (I assume I was in a wheel chair accessible room due to the shower design). Microwave got things hot and refrigerator kept things cold. My room had a nice little nook for the desk, which was great because I could get some work done without the feeling of being in the main space of the room like I have experienced in other hotels. The entire hotel was meticulously clean. Several times I heard a supervisor talk to her staff about keeping the hotel clean and doing a good job for their guests. Very impressed! The breakfast was not inexpensive, but the food was high quality and came out fresh. We had a pianist playing for us on Sunday morning. Parking is in the garage adjacent to a small court yard, and it is free to park there on the weekends. There were several restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops all within walking distance of the hotel. The Art Museum is just across the road from the parking garage. My destination, Canal Field, was 0.6 miles away. The walk on Main St was full of art and well-kept streets ā I felt safe day and night. The gym was newer and had dumbbells ranging from 5-50lbs, and all the machines actually worked! Filtered water was also available. Although the gym was not huge, I never saw another person in there my entire stay. Word of caution if you have someone in a wheel chair. There are wheel chair ramps going from the elevator level to the front and the back of the hotel. However, you would need to use the wheel chair lift to get to the lobby level. Not a huge deal, but something to think about if you planned on dining in the restaurant frequently. Well done, Blu-Tique! I look forward to staying with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOh boy where to begin. Let me start off by saying Iām not one to complain, but what happened at this hotel is inexcusable. My significant other and I worked a convention in Akron all weekend and the closest hotel was blu-tique. We went to check in around 9:30 pm. Michelle was behind the desk and greeted us and was friendly⦠until she looked up our name and tried to tell us we had already checked in. We told her we never checked in and thatās when the attitude began. After checking THE ID of my boyfriend she handed it back along with our room keys. We go upstairs to a large room with multiple beautiful windows. When we set our luggage down is when we notice the bathroom light is on and there are clothes on the floor. SHE GAVE US KEYS TO SOMEONES ROOM! Thank god no one was in there. What if I had been some creepy lone man and there was a woman in there? That is so incredibly dangerous. We head back downstairs to tell Michelle and she gives us the quickest and moodiest āsorryā ever heard. She then uses the excuse that the people in that room have the same last name and weāre checked into our room by mistake. After 20 minutes she finally gave us a key to our new room. The room was night and day compared to the first. It was a bummer and when I asked her if they had a similar room to the first she laughed at me and said they were booked for the weekend. When I brought this to the attention of Patrick the next morning (there was no manager on site the entire weekend) he was apologetic and said that was so unacceptable and the people staying in that room just had the same last name and they were not actually checked into our room.. so they were to careless to even fully check the ID at check in. Patrick told me he would call the manager and get back to me. Well⦠he never did. We checked out and got no apology, they couldnāt even redeem the gift card from using our bonvoy cc (the manager needs to approve it even though when we asked at check in we were told it would be no problem) this was an all around awful experience. The only thing we enjoyed was the wait staff at the restaurant when we went for breakfast. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO FEEL SAFE! This has been escalated...
