Edit: to address the reply, actually I wasnt removed I stood outside and waited for the cops gave my statement made sure the truth would be on the report as well, and left on my own accord, and one I was not screaming on the phone you called me a b*h and hung up on me as I was nicely saying there wasn’t a sign. Also, it is there not their, you should probably spell check just like obviously there is no sign you should have checked the photo before saying there was that’s why I took the photo. Also, I couldn’t bring a receipt bc I was never given nor offered one. And when I asked for you to grab your book of business from the day before and told you where we sat and who our waitress was you told me you don’t keep any receipts and refused to help me even further. Cops were called bc I was demanding you show me my receipt and then yes I acted a plum fool after being called out of my name and being denied to view my receipt from even your end. So yes there was a fiasco after I was disrespected SEVERAL times and was denied being shown my receipt from your end as I was NOT GIVEN ONE. But I was able to pull up my credit card transaction with the date and time that could have helped you find yours if you weren’t being so rude and disrespectful….. now back to the original post here: I used to frequent this place with my mother. The food is good but customer service is HORRIBLE. One time I noticed my credit card charge did not match the bill given to me the day prior. I called to inquire and the lady that picked up was rude about telling me there is a credit card charge. I POLITELY said “That’s fine but you guys should probably tell your customers or post a sign” she hands the phone to the male manager who yelled at me called me the B word and hung up on me. I called back a few times to be hung up on as soon as they picked up. I went out to the restaurant and the manager was even ruder in person. He asked for my receipt which I told him his staff did not give me but I told him I could pull up the charge and if he could grab the receipts yesterday for around 9 am he would find mine for $27.71 and I could tell him exactly what we had. He tells me he doesn’t keep the receipts. Then when I went to pull my charge up online in my account he walks away and won’t even speak to me. All I was looking for was an “I apologize we didn’t make you aware”. It could have all been so simple. It wasn’t the extra charge it was the way it was handled bc Instead I was disrespected from the moment I called to question my bill. And when I asked for the receipts they called the police bc they knew at that point they were not legally telling people properly about the practice. I took pictures that it is not posted and I will be reporting them for improperly charging credit cards because as you can see there is no sign and they do not tell you there is an extra charge ahead of time. And again all I wanted was an “ I apologize” but since we could not handle it cordially this is where it...
Read moreThis is a mixed review. I ordered an omelette and it was delicious. When I was half way done eating my meal, the server said “ You’re going to have to pay now because my shift is over”. Since I use Apple Pay when ever I can, I followed her to the cash register. I paid and even gave her a 20% tip. I returned to my table and continued eating my meal. Just a few minutes later, the owner came to the table and said “you two need to leave, NOW”. I asked what the problem was and he said that they closed at one and reiterated “you need to leave the restaurant right now”. We got up and left the restaurant. Did I do anything wrong? I’m not sure. This is the first time I ever to eat here and I wasn’t aware of there limited hours. I’m guessing we probably walked into the place a minute or two before closing time to begin with unbeknownst to either of us. The mere fact that he seated us tells me that he understood that we would still be there after closing time. So, why the bad rating? Several reasons. The person I was with was my neighbor. We don’t see each other much during winter so I invited him to lunch. He chose the time and the restaurant. We were having a pleasant conversation when the owner started vacuuming. Each of us had a hard time hearing the other. As an unintended consequence, we stayed longer than we wanted to because a lot of our conversation had to be repeated several times. Apparently neither the owner or the server have the word “please” or “thank you” in their vocabulary. It wasn’t so much what either of them said but the way they said it. The sever acted as if she was put out by having to come to my table and ask me(no-it was definitely order) to pay the bill. The owner was just absolutely rude and very aggressive for no reason. Right from the beginning, he could have nicely told us that they were going to close in a few minutes and asked if we wanted our meals to go. The final issue is I paid for a meal that I didn’t have time to finish. I didn’t touch the toast and still had almost a full glass of a soft drink. As we approached the exit my neighbor said “this will be the last time I eat here”. Make sure you read April’s review. Apparently, the owner didn’t learn anything from her review and therefore won’t learn anything from...
Read moreI have been going to Molly Browns, specially this one since I was about 9 years old. This space held such a special spot in my heart. This year has been particularly hard as the person who would bring me to this magical place has now passed. I thought I would be able to share his legacy through your wonderful meal the Machaca and Eggs, however that has been proving to be wrong. The past 2 times I have ordered this I have regretted it. Imagine eating this dish for years as I said above since 9 years and old, I am now 24. I wouldn’t exactly say I’m an expert on this dish but when that’s the only thing you eat anytime you go there, you would imagine I’d know a thing or two about it. This place does NOT make their food with love anymore. Not sure if it’s been the change in staff, lack or care or love but something is definitely not the same. First off, for some weird reason I got Toast with this meal. Now when you order this they usually ask corn or flour (tortillas) this time I got regular toast. Ok. Whatever. Well I go to eat it, as I do, and my rice & beans are dry as heck. So disappointing. So so so disappointing. Steak was the good part, not even the eggs. As I said, this place does NOT cook with love anymore, nor will it be a place I can reminisce at. It’s awful, and I’m sure now that this dish is disgusting as ever, it’s also at its highest price point it’s ever been. This place will not be open in 10 years I guarantee it. Not with the way things are ran anymore, if there is new staff, you should feel ashamed you’re causing such a drift within the community as this place has been near & dear to so many. I hope this reaches you, because I just want my amazing Machaca and Eggs with TORTILLAS BACK!!!! Do NOT waste...
