I left Chick-fil-A in Alabaster today feeling humiliated and deeply disappointed. My daughter ordered her food through her app ahead of time. When she arrived, her order still wasn’t ready, and after waiting for quite a while with no updates, I went to the front counter to ask about it. The manager, David, said there was a glitch in their system. I showed him proof of the order on her phone — the order number, the confirmation, everything. Rather than simply making it right and giving her the two-count strips and mac and cheese she paid for, he made a scene in front of everyone and insisted on calling customer service to “fix it”. Even after seeing clear proof that the order had gone through, he refused to resolve it. Instead, he told me I needed to go into the app and request a refund — as if that solved the fact that a child was standing there without the food she paid for. He made what should’ve been a simple fix into a public ordeal. It was embarrassing, unnecessary, and felt targeted. As a Black woman, I am sadly no stranger to poor treatment — but this experience felt especially dismissive and demeaning. It wasn’t until another manager overheard what was going on that my daughter finally received her food. That manager entered it in the system as a complimentary meal — something David could’ve done from the start but chose not to.
Chick-fil-A claims to stand for service, kindness, and respect. Today, we were treated with none of that. I’m deeply upset and saddened about the way my daughter and I were...
Read moreI had the most degrading experience Ever at the Chick-fil-a in Alabaster, Alabama location. I was yelled at by the manager, David. His behavior was disrespectful and just plain unprofessional. I have never experienced such demeaning and hostile behavior at a Chick-fil-a resturant, especially from a manager. When I received my order the fries were cold and my cookie was not warmed as I requested. I informed the cashier about problems with my order and was told that I needed to pull up because they were cooking more fries. Because I did not want to eat a partially cold and partially hot meal, I requested that the cashier re-make the entire meal. The cashier dod not respond to my request, she just looked at me with a very frustrated expression and turn to get the manager. The manager, David, came to window and yelled loudly at me "The fries are cooking now!!!". I proceeded to explain why I was requesting a re-make on my food and I informed him that his behavior was unacceptable and I then just request my money back. The manager, David, yelled loudly again "I am giving ypu your money!!!" David then slung the credit receipt back at me and slammed the drive thru window in my face. At no time did David or his staff apologize for not preparing my order as I requested nor did they apologize for their treatment of me. I have filed a complaint with the corporate office and I will be writing a letter the...
Read moreWe don't have a Chik-Fil-A in my town :-( . The closest Chik-Fil-A is about a 25 minute drive from my home; a little longer if traffic is bad. So, whenever I need to go to that area, I always go to Chik-Fil-A for lunch. Even though you receive your meal in about 1 minute after pulling up to the window, their chicken and waffles fries are hot and fresh and don't taste like it has been sitting under a heat lamp at all. Their chicken sandwiches are so delicious. The chicken filet is thick and juicy and bigger than the bun. Their waffle fries are even better than McDonald's fries. Chik-Fil-A's chicken is better than other restaurants that mainly serve chicken. I also support the Chik-Fil-A's owners. I respect their morals and their views. I just hate that there are bigoted protestors bent on destroying the business just because they disagree with the owners' Christian views. I'm sure that the same protestors have eaten at other restaurants and were served by someone with Christian values. Even the chef that cooked their food could also have Christian values. Chik- Fil-A isn't the only restaurant with religious values. In and Out Burger have Scriptures printed on the bottoms of their cups. So, I will continue to frequent Chik-Fil-A. Not only for their views but also for their delicious chicken and waffle fries. I highly recommend this restaurant. You don't have to agree with everything and everyone just to enjoy...
