Management of Alabaster McDonald's - this is for you. On Friday, April 18th, approximately 12:45pm, I visited this location. Upon entering, my husband and I found several folks waiting for their food, considering the time, we didn't think anything of this. We were told (by fellow customers) that we'd have to order at the kiosk, there was not a front line person taking orders. We placed our order, was not provided a receipt for the order (the machine was out of paper), and proceeded to wait. Then we are told, again by fellow customers, that they'd been waiting for over 30 minutes for their food, with no explanation. When a worker came out of the back with a bag of food and a drink, she was asked by anther customer where his order was because he'd been waiting for 40 minutes now. Another customer mentioned she'd been waiting that long as well, and asked for her food. The worked then began to loudly exclaim that she was not the manager on duty, and the one that was there had no business being in charge because she couldn't handle the job. She asked the two customers what their orders where, and went to the back. She then proceeds to yell in the back at the manager, exactly what's she's just told the lobby full of customers. A few minutes later she can be heard again telling the manager that the man's food had been sitting right there the whole time and needed to go out. No one brought the food out, still. Several minutes later a different worker walks from the back, to the front line and yells back to the kitchen "I'm leaving until y'all get this all figured out!" And walked out the door! At this point, we are late for something and need to leave. We ended up leaving without our food, or a refund. The worker that walked was still in the parking lot, as she looked at me I kindly told her that she "didn't need to leave her coworkers like that when they needed her help." She then proceeded to yell at me through the parking lot and called me racists terms. I never turned back, and just kept walking to my vehicle. She yelled until I closed the door to the vehicle.
This business has very poor workers. Their attitudes need improvement. Their work ethic needs improvement. Everything! Please, teach your employees better customer service skills, or find employees who actually want to work. We will never return to...

Sometimes when I come in and their of course is a rush and I'll see some employees just texting on their cell phones and not helping any of the other employees and one time their was only one front cashier and she can only do so much when your only one person and are food was just sitting their already done and ready it just had to be handed to us. Like I said the front line cashier is ONLY one person and she was very very busy because it was the lunch rush and like I said you can only do so much as one person... well the lady that was working in the drive thru area, not at the window but was baging the food for the drive thru.. she wasn't doing anything but standing their looking at our food so I asked her if she could just bag it and hand it right over to me... she told me no that she can only bag for the drive thru area. I said ma'am my phone is sitting right in front of you below your nose just sitting their getting cold and you can see that the other lady is extremely busy and she's doing all that she can do and you are telling me that you cannot pitch in and do some "team work" together and bag my food and hand it to me!!!? Once again she said, "NO! I just told you I'm only bagging for the drive thru area." I stood in shock & I just could not believe it. I was very upset with her attitude and how she does not know how to do team work especially being the type of filled that she's working in. I don't know if she had any personal issues with her or not, I to be honest do not care because I've worked in that same type of filled for over 10 damn years and I've always been taught and I've always worked the type of way that when you're at work working all your personal issues need to be left right outside the entrance door regardless if you have any issues with another employee(s) or with someone else outside of work. I do not care! When you are at work you are at work and your number one concern should be at making sure all the customer's needs are met and that they leave happy and satisfied. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow! This place has gotten so bad. I got home to find out 1/4 of my order was missing. The fries, which I normally love extra salty, were so salty I needed a little fry with my salt. I went back to the store to get my order and asked if I could get my order remade because all of the fried food honestly seemed old and over fried, the manager told me it was a problem with the grease and there was nothing she could do, she refused to remake my order and that they have a work order in place for the grease in the fryer.
If they have a problem with the grease to the point they need to put in work order, should they still be serving food from this fryer/grease?
Since she refused to remake my order, I asked for a refund. The manager told me she could not and that I would have come back Monday. I asked for the phone number to corporate, she said she didn't have it. I asked for the number to the franchise owner, she said she didn't have it. I asked for the number for her GM, she said she didn't have that either.
This franchise has gone down hill so much. Is it too much to ask that food be fresh and edible?
Update: 7/27/2025 It took 58 minutes to get my order through the drive through from the time I ordered to the time we received our food and drove away from the drive through.
Just so you know my order wasnāt huge. A 10 piece chicken nugget combo with ketchup as the sauce and sprite to drink. Two double cheeseburgers with no onions, a large fry and two large sweet teas.
We ordered at 7:08pm and received the last of our order at 8:06pm. The car in front of us even cancelled their order and requested a refund because how long it took.
The only positive note was the attitude of the young guy who hands out the food and drinks. He apologized for it taking so long and thanked us for not yelling at him like so many customer had.
