Let me start by saying, I love millers ale house. But this is the worst location I have ever been to. The food quality is sub par, customer service is poor, frequent mistakes, and I have given a multitude of second chances. On one occasion, we were seated and got our drink orders taken. We were waiting for one more person and planned on hanging out for a bit and let our server know that. After we got our first round of drinks, our waiter told us he was going home and that another waiter would be taking care of us which we were completely fine with. The other server never came to our table and to top that off, the server we had continued to serve other tables for over an hour! I was enraged and ended up walking out, calling back after i left to speak with a manager and not cause a scene. She apologized and offered for us to come back with some appetizers but we had already waited a total of 2 hours so i was turned off. She then took my name, address, and number down to send me a gift card but i haven't gotten it and that was 3 months ago. This past week, we went for a friends birthday on a Saturday evening. It was not that busy, the food and server was actually good so we were having a good time.... until it was time to pay. We got our checks quickly but once he took our cards, he did not come back for over an hour. When i finally saw him, i flagged him down asking what was going on and he said that they got a new system and that the cards were charged wrong so his manager was working on reversing it and properly charging. He apologized and came back 15 minutes later finally, saying that everyone was charged twice except one person who was charged for another table but one of the charges will be given back within 24 hours. My question then was, what happens when my friend's account goes negative from being charged $75 for a $17 meal? The server only said "That really sucks man. Sorry about that." I demanded that the ticket be comped to recoup from the $35 fee that his bank was going to get hit with. So he went to talk to his manager and came back shortly thereafter saying "My manager actually said it goes back on the card immediately so there's nothing to worry about." When i asked to speak with him, he wasn't available. What kind of manager takes a customers card, charges it incorrectly, then doesn't come out to face his own customers? Coward. I will never be going to this location again and i warn any customer going into this place to have low expectations when sitting down to eat if you are an ale...
Read moreMy family and I been here a few times and always had great service. Unfortunately, that was not the case this time. We ALL ordered our food at the same time and expected everyone (family of 6) to receive our meal at the same time. Four of us received our order at the same time, within minutes 5th person received there order and nothing was said about my sons order (bacon burger WELL DONE / fries). We asked the waitress what happened to his order and she only said "let me go check", no apology at all. Returns 5 min later "sorry about that but they tell me it will be 5 min". Needless to say waiting on our sons food (which by the way was his birthday request) to be served our food is now cold. 20-25 min later they bring his order out - burger was rare (we requested well done). We request to speak to the manager at this point.
Here is how that went: We expressed our disappointment with the service. Daniel Steffenhagen - manager in Alafaya responds with: I apologize, his burger was accidentally served to another table we will not charge you for it. We asked why were we not informed and why did it take so long to bring his out after they notice the messed up. He responded with it's busy the stove has a lot of food on it gets cold and it takes time warm up (WHAT!!!!) I'm no cook but if you are constantly cooking the stove shouldn't get cold (plus they were not busy). This was the most ridiculous response I have ever heard. This was very poor customer service and we will not return here at all. No we did not pay for our food that we didn't eat and was cold. We did pay for our drinks that we had and appetizer. We had to explain why being charged was for our food was wrong!! We will definitely not be going...
Read moreThis is the 3rd time in a row that I simply have not had the best experience at this particular location. Never had any issues at the Kirkman or Airport location. Last time food was cold and they forgot to put in my to go order while dining in. Manager came over and comped some of our meals and apologized because we had issues the entire time our work party was there. This time while the food was not hot (it was lukewarm). I was too hungry to send back the order and the taste was fine. However, when it was time to leave, the waitress took a bit of time bringing back the billfold and then never brought the to go bag I requested. I sent my son to get the bag and instead of handing it to him she kept entering her orders. I guess because I already had given her the tip right? Anyways, I end up walking over to get the bag because she never hands him the bag so he was just standing there looking crazy. I was beyond annoyed at this point because clearly my son is waiting on something. I flagged the manager down who ends up getting the bag because the waittress goes in the back and does not return for some time. While the manager goes for the bag, the waitress finally emerges and then had the nerve to ask me what I was waiting on. It took everything in me not to yell out of frustration. Clearly the bag I have been waiting on 8.5 min. The process to leave took 20 minutes total. It will definitely be awhile before I return to this particular location although it is the closest one. 3rd time...
