Hey, have you ever found a place so good you can’t stop going back? That’s Fowl and Fare for me. Since they set up shop in Alameda, I’ve tried everything they’ve got. The man behind it all, Will, is not just awesome at making food; he’s also a big deal in making the community better through what he cooks.

Let’s dive into the good stuff. The Jamaican Jerk has just the right kick of spice, while the Charred Lemon Pepper is something special, with its zingy sauce and super juicy chicken tucked into the softest bun you can imagine. And the pear slaw? It’s a game changer, trust me.

Now, about where you’ll eat this amazing food. Inside, Fowl and Fare shares space with other cool food spots, so there’s always something for everyone. Prefer the fresh air? Grab a seat at one of the two tables on the patio and enjoy your meal outside.

Don’t even get me started on the fries – they come with this unique spice blend that’s a little sweet and totally addictive.

In short, if you haven’t been to Fowl and Fare, you’re missing out. It’s easily the best fried chicken sandwich place around here. So here’s what you need to do: Go to Fowl and Fare. Try these favorites. Sit inside or grab a patio spot. And enjoy one of the best meals you’ll have in the Bay Area. Seriously, go. You’ll thank...

There is no photo to accompany this review because the sandwich I ate had me locked in to nothing else except its deliciousness.

I've been here twice now. The first time was after a long day at work - the chicken sandwich made everything better. The seasoned fries might as well have had crack on them because I was hooked (and I do not typically enjoy a side of fries...I ate it ALL).

The second time I went was a Sunday. I ordered the exact same thing, just to be sure it wasn't hanger pains clouding my judgment the last time. Yup. Same. Nothing else mattered except the thicc, tender piece of meat dressed between the sweet brioche bun in my hands. Life problems? World problems? Gone...at least for the time that I was eating. Dinner conversation? Didn't need it. The sandwich, along with the chorus of seasoned fries, had my rapt attention and nearly brought a tear to my eye.

This is the kind of food that commands your attention. No mindless, detached mastication of subpar flavours that leave you wanting. This food puts you in the present moment. It GIVES you more than you might even think you want without it hurting. Yes, you will put some respect on this sandwich!

Bring a loved one with you and bring your appetite. I will be back to...

I’m a rather well traveled person within the United States and I’ll be d*mned if this isn’t some of the most well- curated combinations of flavors and consistencies ranging from crispy to mouth wateringly juicy I’ve ever had.

I have yet to have a single item on the various menus that Fowl and Fare has featured that wasn’t an overwhelmingly positive experience: fresh all beef burgers, chicken that’s never ever dry, specially seasoned fries and homemade sauces that remind me of better times and real home cooking.

Will, the Master and Commander of his all-star Fowl and Fare team, has gone above and beyond to provide a culinary experience that the Bay Area should feel privileged to enjoy in a friendly, homey, and laid back locale.

I plan on remaining a loyal regular until they shutter the place or I finally get put in the...

In fear of the long lines I got there early, it was a Friday and I didn’t wanna risk wasting my time. Quick tip: the earlier the better when they done they done. From order to finish it only took about 10min. I got the Original with a side of fries. Next time I think I’ll go for the spicy option but I wanted to be safe on the first try. Original Chicken Sandwich: Brioche Bun, fresh slaw, crispy juicy fried piece of chicken and a house sauce. Fries: well seasoned and crispy fresh
