Review for its grand opening after years of closure and change of ownership?
First thing first... Seriously for the owner(s). Your reception(system) is totally messed up. Many customers come in do not know what is going on? You don't have a dedicated person to arrange people to wait or be seat. I don't see an efficiency system to take care large amount of influx..... Maybe you need to re-train your staff for doing it, or yourself? Totally mess up. Especially your entrance is tiny, people do not really mind to wait outside, but you got to have a system.

Read moreI was lucky enough to be able to attend their opening and I must say I was astounded. Ive been going to their other location for 16 years and absolutely love their new one. Its beautifully designed, the food is delicious, and the service has always been amazing. Each dish is designed and crafted with care. Also a fun fact! — the art on the walls to the bathroom was all done by the owner!
I only recommend 2 sushi restaurants to people and this is the 2nd!!! The first is their original location in Oakland on Park Boulevard.
They have an amazing selection of fish that is always high quality. I recommend the double sake to anyone looking for a unique experience but I love and have tried everything...

Unagi Don was ok. Some parts of the unagi was chewy instead of tender so that wasn’t as good. But the parts that were tender, which was about 70%, was umami delicious. It was good and reminded me of the original restaurant at this location - Kamakura.
