I've been going here since I was in high school. Class of 1991, Alameda High. I love the carnitas super burrito. I get a burrito everytime I come to Alameda and I always bring new and old friends to share the experience with. Why is it that the rude guy still works there? He's been rude since I was 14 yrs old. I'm 51 now and he's even worse! He's a grump and always has been. It seems to me, and even to my friends and husband, that unless you're also of Hispanic descent, or a young pretty lady and especially a Latina, then he will treat you like garbage. I've tried to be nice to him for way too long. I'm ALWAYS nice. This last time, he was rude as usual to me, as I'm ordering my burrito, no smile, grumpy attitude and rude tone. But my Hispanic husband, when he ordered, he got smiles and even got called, "my brother" in Spanish. Then there were 3 young pretty Latin ladies after us. He was ultra nice to them. Lots of smiles and flirtation with them and calling them, "my queen". I think that's one of the worst kinds of customer service. Picking and choosing who you're going to be nice to, based on race and looks. This has been happening for yearrrrs. Not just to me, but to a lot of us. I'm finally speaking up. I'm going to stop going there if it continues one more time. I don't care how good the burritos are. I also got food poisoning from there twice, so I've still been taking chances with them. I'm over it. The new owner is nicer. But that old man with the attitude... you know who you are. We all do. He needs to hang up the towel. And if you're not going to get rid of him bc he's been there so long and he thinks he is untouchable, at least give him a good talking to, about how to provide friendly customers service to EVVVERYONE, not just who you're attracted to! C'mon, this is Alameda! The diversity is a blessing! Don't let this guy ruin your business reputation with his obvious disdain for people of other nationalities or people he's not attracted to. I'm sorry but he needs some serious customer service training. I hope you take this review seriously and finally stand up to him. I know you know how he is. Y'all have been working together too long to not know his antics. We shall see how he is next time. I hope he is nice and friendly to everyone in there, I don't care who they are or how they look. He needs to treat everyone equal, with a smile, and be grateful for the...

Read moreI’m in North Carolina right now and literally just pulled over to write a review for Ramiro and Sons Taqueria in Alameda, Ca. Why? Because i was just reminded yet again that Ramiro and Sons is the most incredible Mexican food in the country. I travel all over the country for work, what ever city I’m in I constantly look, scouring for anything that comes close to Ramiro and Sons. I’m telling you there is NOTHING that comes close to the quality and flavor. Oh and btw they have been doing birilla tacos and quesadillas for 30 years. So for all you fakers hopping on the latest trend, check game. Bottom line, don’t be a piker. If you are in the bay drive to Alameda and get Ramiro and Sons Taqueria. It’s the best...
