We went there hoping for a good meal before hitting the dunes. We were immediately met with the smell of sewer. We ordered and the waiter had to reach up and shut his ear pod off so he could hear us. My husband's order was messed up and he thought mine was his so he doused it with hot sauce-I do not eat spicy food- they said they would make his but mine would not be spicy because in their opinion it was not spicy. Well it was spicy. The pop machine was out of order. The tables were dirty, and the bathrooms🤢. The mens was out of order. I went to the womens and it was obvious the men had been carelessly using it. The seat had urine dried on it, they were out of TP, the waste basket was overflowing to the floor, and it was in general disgusting. My friend's daughter had to go, I tried to warn them it was bad... but what do ya do when a 7yo has to go they have to go. When they got in there the lites started to flicker and she was in there saying "Im scared". I can not say I blame her. I was scared in that...

I had fries with carne asada, while the rest of my family had vegetarian chile rellano and chicken tacos. The carne asada fries were very tasty with a lot of guacamole, sour cream, and cheese. There is also a salsa bar which was fantastic! They had 2 tropes of red salsa, and tomatillo salsa both which had incredible depth of flavor and were well seasoned. There was also some fresh veggies and pickled carrots too add some acid to the rich main courses.
Overall the food was quite reasonable, especially for a stop along a road trip. The decor is very simple and the staff...

I ordered a pair of bean burritos with a side of chips and guacamole. Portions were quite big, but totally flavorless. I would have used the accompanying red salsa, but it had an unnatural shade red that would be totally unbecoming of any tomato on Earth (what's IN that thing??) And I LOVE guacamole, I eat guacamole almost every day, and I make my own guacamole. What they serve here is not guacamole...its more like a pureed, liquified avocado. Wrong texture and absolutely no flavor.
All that said, it might depend on what you order. My bean burritos definitely didn't cut it, but others in my party ordered the carne asada and said it was...
