When I first tried their food (South Anchorage) I was in LOVE. As the years went by, I started to see a decline in their service & food. Tonight (1 hour before closing), my hubby & I ordered their Mochiko Chicken plate & Luau plate on DoorDash. The Mochiko chicken was NOT their usual. It looked like they used their leftover BBQ Huli Huli chicken in the Mochiko batter & fried it instead of using fresh chicken (done the right way). Their rice was very mushy & the rest of their food was mediocre compared to what we’re used to from their restaurant.
We tried calling 11 mins before closing to make a complaint but someone picked up the phone & hung it up. Called 2 more times but no one wanted to answer cause everyone was ready to go home. If we are paying a lot for your food, we expect delicious quality food. Not your leftovers so you can save time & money for your business. Just very disappointed with this restaurant, I’ve given them one too many chances (BX, South Anchorage & now tonight with their Arctic location). Don’t think you can fool everyone, we will no longer eat or waste...
Read moreVERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE ETIQUETTE!
I called their Jeepney Old Seward Highway branch to place an order over the phone for take out, the lady with an accent answered the phone after 6 rings with a message " hold for a moment", she put me on hold - had heard a background of people talking and ordering in the restaurant. I waited for her (the cashier maybe, because the lady with an accent answered the phone with no proper greetings) - patiently waited for her to get back to me while being held on the phone for about 8 minutes, and all she did was hanged up the phone, I was so upset being held for abt 8 minutes and she just dropped my call. The owner of the restaurant should be aware of the rudeness of their staff over the phone and get them trained on proper phone etiquette, excellent customer service is the key to your business success, treat your customer right not only in person but also...
Read moreI go here way too often. I DRIVE out of my way just to get a taste of home. This is my favorite restaurant for Filipino food. Yes, it's fusion with Hawaiian dishes and flavors but predominately Filipino IMO. I'd order here with the intent to help keep them in business among other local business during the pandemic. It's comfort food to me so it's a win-win!Their food speaks for itself and I have told other people and brought samples to other friends who also enjoy and appreciate Filipino food. Every dish is fresh and tasty. The owners and staff are friendly. Just choose a classic dish like adobo or pancit , lumpia, or try something new! They even have some Keto-friendly options. You cannot go wrong! So happy they are opening a 3rd location. It's a little closer drive than the one...
