I had three dishes, and they were all quite bad. The New Orleans Pasta was described on the menu as having "cajun cream sauce", but that is very innaccurate. It had some cajun seasoning, but it was mostly comprised of parmesan. It arrived on my table very hot, which is fine, but the parmesan caused it to be very congealed. If i knew there was parmesan in the dish, i would not have ordered it. I have had cajun cream sauces before, and they were all comprised of mostly cream or milk and other non-cheese ingredients. What i was served was an alfredo. Even as an alfredo, it had far too much cheese in it. Combining parmesan with cajun seasoning made it almost entirely unedible. I was able to eat about 1/6 of it - just the meats, because i needed to eat something, especially after spending over $40 for my entire meal.
The mozzarella sticks were ok, but the red sauce they gave me also had a large amount of parmesan cheese on it and in it. So, in combination with the new orleans pasta (which already had an egregious amount of parmesan cheese), i could only eat 1 of the 4 cheese sticks. There was also no indication on the menu that there would be parmesan cheese on/in this dish, otherwise i would not have ordered it.
The side salad tasted and felt like it was prepared at least 1 or 2 days ago. It also had a severe overabundance of cheese on it; not parmesan, but shredded white and orange cheeses. Again, there was no indication of cheese being in the salad on the menu. And, again, i would not have ordered it if it was described as having cheese. The salad dressing was very cold, and it was just a big glob. It was very difficult to get out of the small cup that i was given. i could not spread it across the salad; it just collected the cheese and some lettuce, and i couldnt really get to it. It was like seeing bubble gum being stuck in a person's hair. I had 2 bites of the salad, and i couldnt stomach any more.
In the end, i was only able to eat a very small portion of what i ordered. The waitress was unconcerned when i told her that i was finished and i asked for my bill. In that same moment, she took my plates away, which were evidently quite full. She didnt ask me how my meal was or if she could get me anything else.
After i paid my bill, i went to walmart, where i got beef jerky and a candy bar. Those were far better and cheaper than what i received at Austin's Firegrill...

My sister and I sat waiting for our server to greet us, after sitting for about 10 minutes and now swatting bugs this very nice server came out and asked if we had been greeted. She said our server was busy with a large party and she would get our drinks, she proceeded with offering to move us inside because she notice us swatting bugs, she got a table clean and brought us inside ( our original server never acknowledged us so we asked Jana Hughes ( the nice one ) to continue to wait on us, we are well into 20 min now ( forgot to mention she took our drink and food order to help the other server). It took our order 30 minutes to come to the table ( at an hour now) my sister's food was not right , she ordered shrimp and grits, only got 2 shrimp...Jana took it back brought it back said the manager said it was 4 shrimp but he would send more.( so he Dug in my sister's food instead re cooking it.....) NOT HAPPY!!!. I sent it back not before my sister stirred it to find some foreign something in it at this point Jana agreed and took it back. I asked for the manager to visit our table only to be informed it was the GM and he was working the line???? Really, he could not come to our table but would comp the shrimp and grits entrees...NOT HAPPY!!! SITTING THERE I OBSERVED NOT ONE NOT TWO BUT THREE TABLE not being taken care of, grant it the food is good the service and customer service sucks ,the lack of management concern for the satisfaction of the guest has made me decide this will not be a restaurant I will patronize when I'm back in town. Unfortunate for great servers like Hana Hughes who showed compassion, empathy,...
Read moreMy family and I were visiting from Maryland in January of 2013 and we took time to have dinner at Austin's. Terrible regret!!!!! There were 17 of us in our party. We were seated and 30 minutes later we still only had water on our tables. WE had to ask if we could make appetizer orders. After making orders only half of our party was being tending to, the rest of us just sat waiting, getting more and more frustrated! The whole table finally got appetizers but now an hour had passed and no one had asked us for our dinner order so WE had to ask for ourselves. The server came over to take orders. Then we waited and waited and waited and waited some more. Again the other half the table got their orders as the rest of us sat in frustration!!!! After making several COMPLAINTS to the server she told us that there was another big party there and that was the delay so we explained that we were there an hour before them and didn't understand how that would conflict with us! After 2 hours had passed the rest of us had received our food only to be disappointed. Steaks were over cooked, crab cake & fries were cold, baked potatoes & bacon weren't cooked completely. HORRIBLE!!! After complaining, the manager finally came out only the brag about the restaurant and he would ONLY discount the one crab cake and our bill collectively was well over $300. FINALLY after 2 hours and 45 minutes we had to ASK for the check because perhaps other patrons were more important than we were. My family and I WILL NEVER dine at this restaurant EVER again. We have family members that live in Albany, GA that came out with us that night who WILL NEVER dine in your restaurant!!!! ...
