Locos Grill & Pub — Restaurant in Albany

This review is taking place not five minutes after "finishing " my order. I ordered a sandwich named, "The Moose " and in short summation its a roast beef sandwich that would be made in a manner that sounded delicious, judging by the menus description. When my Moose arrived the french fries were soggy, which is not a problem as it's expected given the jungle like humidity inside the tray it arrived in. The main course though fortunately was not soggy, it also was not the sandwich I ordered either. The one I got was the poorest example of a pork sandwich, the bread was hard at the ends flaccid in the center with a sliver of grossly over cooked cheese that covered about 20% of the bun. That there in lies the problem with the incorrect order I was fortunate enough to receive. Whomever made this sandwich showed a basic lack of someone who takes one itty bitty bit of pride in their chosen profession. Sir or ma'am I salute you, you have managed to perpetuate the assumptions about restaurants and everything else in Albany. Thank God my wife ordered the lemon yaki wings which were pedestrian at best, but in comparison to my sandwich looked and tasted like something deserving of an international culinary award that would make the Virgin Mary herself proud to gnaw the knuckle...

Absolutely amazing!! How amazing? I visited three times in one day. And since then I have been back seven times in the last ten days.

All of the hosts and servers were exceptional. A couple can comfortably eat here for less than $25 and that includes the tip. This is my new go to spot.

The menu was so tempting. The roasted wings were delicious. The salad was great. The honey habanero sauce outrageous. The traditional wings to die for. Philly cheese steak scrumptious.

All the food was superb. It came out fast, fresh and hot. And I am quite serious. The appetizer came out in less than several minutes. Yeah, I said it. Where do you know that can do better?!

Look at those pics. Have you ever seen so much meat inside of an appetizer? That's the chicken quesadilla. The muy nacho is enough to feed six and Loco's is not stingy with the toppings.

Don't order the water though. I have never had toilet water but that is what I imagine it would be like. Why if a customer requests water, why can't it be filtered? I mean it's something so simple and trivial. Don't force me to get a drink. You don't know my health issues. Truly, how much does a filter cost in the grand scheme...

Visited on Oct. 12, 2022: We will not be coming back to this restaurant and there are three reasons why. 1) service is horrible--walked in the door and there was a big sign that said "Please wait to be seated". I and my daughter stand there for a while waiting to see a waitress or waiter to come and seat us and no one comes for a good while. Two workers walk from the back to the kitchen/bar area to have causal conversations with other workers behind the bar--they see me and my child standing there--and still we're not greeted or seated. I then stick my head around the corner and stare at the bar area and say "we're out here, will we be seated?" and then a waitress saunters around the corner and seats us and walks away. 2) we sit for a while looking and waiting for service to get even glass of water--no one comes, and 3) the table that we were seated at was next to a window, which had several flies flying around (and some were dead in the window). Yeah... that was a clear sign to leave. We won't be back. Too many other quality restaurants to eat at...
