Los Vaqueros Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Albany

We ordered 2 plant based taco bowls. No meat or dairy products added. He messed up or order. We asked for beans and rice onions bell pepper guacamole replacement with lettuce guacamole and jalapenos.This man gave us a taco bowl full of REFRIED BEANS with very little lettuce at the bottom of the Hot GREASY Lard Filled refried beans on top of it. Which of course wilted that all up. He said he could not replace our food because they usually use refried beans as the beans for their taco salad. WE SAID Beans and you never asked for clarification since this was Clearly a special order. How would We know that?!?! Sir, this is your place of business we don't know that. When you place your inventory order I'm sure they don't give you REFRIED BEANS when you request for BEANS. That's a Specification. Normal people would give you beans instead. BEANS IN WHOLE PINTO OR BLACK should've bean what we got. And since this is Your place of business you should confirm those very important details with your PAYING customers. YOU know those details NOT the customer. You were just too lazy to go back and fix it right. You didn't even have beans or rice on the receipt. We couldn't even eat the greasy mess. $32 down the drain. If I can post pics now or later of what they gave us I am going to show you what they felt...

The customer service was AWFUL today!! We had prearranged our Christmas luncheon from 1-4. The date and time had been confirmed with manager again the before. He assured us we had the room until 4. When we arrived, the manager had scheduled another party at 2:00 in the same room. He was rude to my staff members as they explained what we had planned and why that wouldn't work. I had another staff member call to other restaurants to see if they could accommodate a party of 33 on short notice. Blackbeard's came thru!! I offered to pay for the chips and salsa and we left.

Don't lie to get us in there!!! If we couldn't have the room at that time, just say that (It could have been stated on the prior day when we called as a follow-up) but don't expect to get us in there, stay, embrace your error, AND pay you. That's why we have choices in life and your restaurant is NOT the ONLY restaurant in town! And we blessed the waitresses at Blackbeards for accommodating us and for Christmas!!...

I have eaten here many times and the food is typically very good. I wish they had more authentic Mexican style taco options like the chorizo tacos with onions, cilantro, and lime wedges as those don't leave me feeling bloated like some of the cheese and bean oriented options(that is my body's fault, not Los Vaqueros'). I have always had great service there. One of my favorite things about the environment of the restaurant is the noise level. It is LOUD in here! It makes you feel like you can have a private conversation at your table at full volume without anyone complaining.
