Update: TWO HOURS after my order, still no food. I called and had them cancel my order and refund my card.
Update 2: They sent the food to my house anyway, I should have turned it away at the door. The pizza was room temperature, and soggy in the center again (but this time it could have been because it sat in a warming oven for more than 30 minutes). I also ordered a sandwich. The delivery driver said they accidentally made 2 and gave me both. One had clearly been finished a while ago as the bread (and even the fried chicken!) were soggy. The potatoes had lost all crisp/crunch they may have had because they sat in a plastic to-go container for so long. I threw both sandwiches away. The pizza is probably salvageable, but I will have to use an oven to prevent the already soggy crust from getting worse in the microwave.
I've ordered from here twice. The first time was fine on time, but the pizza had so many toppings that the center was soggy and falling apart. I like having lots of toppings, that's great, but not when it means the crust is mushy. The second (and last) time I will order from this pizza place I ordered delivery on their website, it said 25-45 minutes. Totally reasonable amount of time, and I live about 1.5 miles from this restaurant. I'm writing this review over an hour and a half after I made my order. I called them half an hour ago and they told me my pizza had just came out of the oven and that it would be delivered soon. They blamed the website for misleading me. They told me I would get a $5 gift certificate for the wait, but I'm afraid my pizza will get here old and cold. I just tried to get them on the phone again and the phone was...
Read moreWe celebrated our daughter's 13th birthday at Southpaws last Saturday night and had the best time. The food was amazing, as usual, and service was great. We had a variety of pizzas and our favorites are the BBQ chicken, Bulldog and Redhawk. The salad bar was loaded up delicious. Ashley, our server, was very attentive and sweet. We had around 40 people in our group and reserved the back room for the party. We had plenty of room and were able to come early and decorate. We love celebrating birthdays here, getting delivery or take out and just enjoying family dinner while watching a game on the big screen.
While we were enjoying our food and birthday party, the owner, Chris Reese, stopped in to wish our daughter a happy birthday. I can't say enough about how thoughtful Chris is. He is a servant to the core and has done (and is still doing) so much for our community through his coaching, volunteering, leadership at the YMCA and service as a US Army Veteran. I know he has a hand in so many other organizations. He is also very generous donating food from Southpaws and Shortstops (which is also great and has amazing shakes and burgers!) to schools and youth groups, for example. A few years ago, I witnessed him quietly drop off at my school cleats to a student who needed them, using his own money, just to help out a student in need. His mentorship to so many kids, including my own son, has been instrumental in building their personal growth.
I just wanted to take a minute and share a little appreciation for a great restaurant in Southpaws and its owner, Chris Reese (and family).
If you are able, you should stop by and eat or call in...

Firstly, never go on a tuesday because you’ll be ignored without a reservation for trivia. Secondly, they made us sit outside even though there were open tables inside. Some of the heaters were broken. We also saw 2 mice running around. After getting our drink order our server ignored or forgot about us for nearly 30 mins. Our pizzas took FOREVER- one server told us it was because of trivia and another told us because of a long take out order. Then our dessert came out before our food?? We have a kid who wouldnt eat her pizza after seeing the cookie. The blonde server told us she could make us a new one and bring it after our food, which we agreed. Then the other server comes out and says they’re all out of that dessert and gave ours away. WHAT. we wouldve just kept it if we had been told that was the last one?? then finally, finally, our pizzas come out and i ordered no jalpenos. well theres some jalpenos and many many MANY jalpeno seeds all over my pizza like they put it on and half assed took it off. I cannot tolerate any spice and wouldve asked for a new pizza but didn’t want to risk the 30+ min wait.
As full time workers and new parents we rarely get to eat out, this was our one date night this month and it was ruined by the terrible experience. shitty service and shitty communication. I’ve been here before and never had problems but this ruined our nights and is so disappointing it leaves me doubting if we will...
