Birrieria y Tacos de Alex Tijuana Style — Restaurant in Albuquerque

After eating taco de Alex you will not want to eat anyone’s birras they fill there tacos with enough meat and cheese and it’s so so good I’ve eaten plenty of different birras and no one makes them the way you do ….. please don’t change the way you make your food and the birra pizza is the bomb if you have not tried them please do so you won’t regret it I made a big mistake I was hungry and they closed by 20 minutes so went to Los tacos del ray because Alex was closed 😢ray tacos don’t got nothing on Alex birras taco….. ray taco don’t have much filling VERSUS Alex tacos omg I’ll never go anywhere else ALEX IS 100% the best ….. I definitely recommend this I will never go eat anyone’s birras haha I hope my review get me a free meal lol I’m Kidding also the girls that work in the front are very kind and respectful thank you lady’s …..oh I seen another review about the price but the food is plenty so he does not cheat you out of the quality and quantity of filling in the food …. He is not shy to stuff the tacos to me that’s worth it...

The food is phenomenal, hands down the best Birria I've had in Albuquerque without question. We shared 4 street tacos with rice and beans and a quesadilla. We ended up taking the quesadilla home because they pile plates with so much food. The atmosphere is your basic small independently owned taco spot, red, yellow and green painted walls with a TV playing novelas. The downside of our meal was that we were over charged by 20 dollars. Admittedly I was so excited about the food that I didn't pay attention to the price (and the obvious language barrier), I simply swiped my card and didn't realize the overcharge til I recieved my email statement. The taco plate is listed at $16 and the quesadilla at $14, we also got a bottle of coke at $4 for a total of $34 and we were charged $56. Next time I will definitely pay attention at check out. I wish I could give zero stars. The did not pay attention to my order when I was talking. Entered my order wrong so I got an entirely different meal. When I called to explain that my order was wrong the lady kept talking over me and in addition to that she said if I wanted a refund I had to come all the way back down there. Extremely inconvenient, inconsiderate and rude. When I had them remake my food they still didn’t make it right. Never coming here again and definitely NOT...
