2025 07 23 - Brandy reached out and made a great effort to make things right. I'm hoping that the feedback below can make Dion's the best place it can be in terms of customer experience.
2025 07 20 - well here we go again. Ordered through the app. Time of delivery was 5:19 PM when I ordered at 4:49 PM. No problem. 30 minutes. Not a big deal. But, when I got to this location and checked in, the associate said that it wasn't ready and they would call my name later when it was ready. I waited patiently for another 20 minutes beyond the promise time. Then I approached the associate again. She had no idea where my order was and so she started asking everyone in the store. A new associate came forward with my pizza that had been in the warming oven for a period of time. If I didn't ask, it could have been another hour before I got my food. So ultimately I got my order 50 minutes after I placed it, but if I wasn't vocal, I would have been there all night because NOBODY was looking out for my order. The manager on duty said that I didn't check in properly at the register, even though I checked in at the "pick up order" desk. So, I went to the obvious place where customers are supposed to "pick up" pizzas, but apparently that is only for in store orders. Since I placed my order online, I guess I should have known that you need to check in at the register...but wait...there is absolutely no information that says that you need to check in at the register. The app doesn't say to check in at the register. There is no sign at the store that says to check in at the register. So if you check in at the pick up order desk, that does not count. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager argued with me again and again saying that at most restaurants, you need to check in with the cashier. Really??? Does she know that for a fact? Most restaurants require you to check in with the cash register people to get your order vs. the "pick up here" lane? She would not listen and she argued that I should have known that I needed to communicate with the "register people" vs the "pick up your order" people. So after 50 minutes, I finally got what I paid for, but I was made to feel like I was wrong for not knowing the Dion's Pizza online ordering process.
I reaffirm my review from the past. Food is great. Leadership and customer service sucks at this location.
Called ahead of time. Person who answered the phone was laughing and obviously carrying on with a co-worker. I tried to be courteous, but the employee became cold and belligerent when I said, "it sounds like you are having fun over there." She was not impressed. She took my order but was rude. I know these are teenagers who work here, but c'mon...give them some customer service skills. I can't believe I'm giving Dion's a 1 star. I've been going to this place since I was a kid. Huge...
Read moreThis place needs serious help. I ordered a medium cheese pizza on 08 January 2023 and over 1 hour later it’s still not ready? That’s wild. I walked in with a older gentleman and he placed an order and it was ready within 30 minutes, while I ordered over the phone. I went up to the counter and asked what’s going on with my very simple order, they said it should be another 5-10? It had already been an hour. No thank you. I spoke to the manager and was only offered my money back. As a first time customer from out of town, the one thing I can say is I won’t be back - even if you offer me FREE food and that’s because how your staff let me leave the establishment upset and with our family hungry. No worries, it’s not hard to find alternative options. I just find it very off putting that your staff left my family in the wind. At the very minimum your manager should have comped me the pizza for wasting over 1 hour of my time and now having to find or make our family another meal. Instead your staff and Manager just let me an unhappy customer leave. That’s terrible customer service!!
The place is also disgusting dirty. I know your pizza makers have a job to do, but I have worked on a line before and managed one. My line was never this dirty, even during dinner rush. If it was I would have stopped to clean it or allocated someone to do so, even while we were handling the dinner rush. There’s a lot of cross contamination going on here. I also saw one of the pizza makers wearing a bandaid on her finger. I know the pizza gets cooked, but if you have a cuts on you hands and are handling food you should be...
Read moreI was happy I came to this side of town, very vibrant and full of life. I loved the pizza, always good, tasty and the cheese always on point. The only problem is the people in Albuquerque, the gracist ones who can't stand seeing a group of Latinos having fun. There was a lady across the room just staring at me, despite the fact I looked at her back she wouldn't stop. I just came to enjoy a Friday afternoon with my daughter and friend celebrating their orchestra performance. I lived in this town for many years. My daughter and her friend noticed how uncomfortable I was because of this, and they started laughing at her and her chubby husband and her whole crew in my defense. My daughter then noticed they were pointing at us. I decided to look back at them. The man was just looking at me with a serious face. Like dude you started this! We came here to EAT, And you gave us an unwelcoming attitude. Well guess what my guys I ain't going anywhere! Roll your eyes, stare down, give dirty looks with mean eye roll, be upset, sneer, we're still going to continue to visit these places. I thought it wouldn't be as bad considering there are richer areas than Nob Hill. Guess what it turned out to be the same b.s. I will make sure everyone in town is aware of what's going on in restaurants and places in Albuquerque.
Ha ha ha- Guess what guys as I predicted this 🦆 ing city hasn't changed. Now I have another different review about this area in a different place. It's the same Usual suspects. Who th in their right 🦆ing mind, would think that a Mexican can't afford a damn 🍕?? Are...
