I decided to run a Google search requesting information for the best hamburgers in Rio Rancho. Blakes Lotaburger of course was the first one on the list as it is still on mine along with your typical search results. But then I saw the picture of Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers and I recalled hearing it was a good place to go. My lady friend/partner/gf or sidekick decided to go and try em out.
I wish they would have been nutritional information readily available, but then again I wasn't at the golden arches. If you are worried about your daily intake of carbohydrates or empty calories you probably would just want to go somewhere else. This is not because the portions are extremely large by any means, as my double steak burger with cheese, mustard, mayo and grilled onions had to extremely thin flattened patties that could not have weighed the total of a quarter pound once cooked, nor the shoestring french fries..... the frozen custard is all I can say.
I had to try it, and when I ordered us to cook put the best hamburger was and I also asked strapping young lad running the cash register for the most popular custard as well, which happens to be Turtle style, as in the candy. If you like an atmosphere that is very brightly lit, conducive to satisfy all of your gluttonous needs, and family friendly, this is it.
I shared the turtle custard with my partner and about 10 minutes after we left the restaurant we have to take a bathroom break as she needed to, ummm, "wash her hands." When she returned to the vehicle I was adjusting my stereo in my truck and she had to go wash them again.?.? Needless to say after the 25-minute drive home I have an overwhelming desire to cleanse my hands as well. A very thorough washing oh, and I'm not talking about washing my hands literally, I'm talking about toilet paper and more than just a roll. You ever wish you were born in France oh, I do right about now.
No I am not lactose intolerant either, I do not prefer shoestring fries nor do I like well do dining experiences. This is just my review so please don't take it...
Read moreTerrible experience this is the 3rd time, we thought to give another try but it was still very disappointing. We went through the drive thru the female employee that took our order was super rude she cut me off several times, then rushed me through my order so much I didn't get to finish my order. When I pulled up to the window the male employee told me to have sympathy for the female that took our order cause it was her first day working the drive thru that he heard how she was talking to us while taking our order, but he never jumped in to ask if we were finished ordering. Then he asked if we wanted any fry sauce or ketchup we said fry sauce please he didn't give us any. The chili cheese fries we ordered looked like they threw in the bag it spilt all over, when we got home to eat there was nothing but chili, cheese like 5-6 fries & a handful of onions that we didn't even know came on them it does not specify on menu. We had to add the combo fries to the chili cheese just to try to eat. The last time we ordered food there we ordered 4 combos to have each one made completely wrong to find out after we called to let them know that we got someone else's order, they told us to go back to pick up the right order which was still made incorrect the manager told us that they would mail us a voucher we never got anything in the mail. So no point to call to be told the same thing that they'll mail us something when they never do I read the other reviews where other customers were told the same but never received anything...
Read moreDifferent style burger then any I have tasted before! But damn good! Very worth the experience. My only negative was the bathrooms were a bit gross.
Decided to return to have some burgers with my family. Noticed at walking through the door the floors were covered with trash. Went to use the rest room after placing my order. Bathroom again very dirty and lacking in supplies. I also noticed the tables were unclean. I proceeded to ask for the manager and young lady came forth claiming to be. I proceed to mention what I saw and that I felt she might want to have someone come out to clear the debris. Her first response was to blame the time being dinner rush and then proceeded to tell me I was being rude for telling her how to do her job. I ofcourse at this point said nothing further and walked away. After a few minutes she came to my table to apologize for her actions. I excepted her apology and then told her my words were not to tell her what to do. Just to inform her and assist her with do better business. It ended corgellily but she has alot to learn when it comes to the service industry. Please if you go to this establishment I ask that you try to do the same and hopefully the store...
