I may be the Debbie Downer in this review section, but so be it. This place was gross; there was a seweage smell or a drainage back up smell. The restroom being within inches from tables probably didn't help much. The ice cream tasted like the top layer of the frost bitten ice cream I have in my freezer; there was no flavor or consistency to it. And what was worse is that when the male owner was scooping the ice cream his arm rubbed on the inside of the tub and ice cream was all over his arm. I gagged at the thought of arm hair or skin in the ice cream. 🙊There is a play area with lots of toys which is an amazing concept for adults with kiddos, but upon further inspection the toys are just a germ infested magnet. And the owners/employees are cleaning up the toys whenever possible even if your are in the middle of play. I had a female employee basically lean over my lap to reach for a toy on my right. And she kept making remarks that the trains were not in their right places, which was true because we were playing with them. I felt uncomfortable here and will not return. I felt very passive aggressive energy from the owners. It is not kid friendly and...
Read moreWe went here as a dinner replacement while on vacation. We found it in a guide book under restaurants, and we decided to give it a try. On the outside, it is unremarkable. When we went there, the buildings neighboring it were empty. However, as soon as we walked inside, we realized that this was a unique place. There are collectible toys all throughout the store, and the ceiling has old vinyl records lining it. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the owner. He gave us a quick overview of the menu and how to order. We ordered various types of ice cream and shakes. The prices were pretty good and the ice cream tasted pretty good. We sat down near the window and began to eat. There were many different games and books to look at while eating; however, nobody in our group used them. After we had eaten for a while, the owner came over and sat down next to us. He told us about why he moved to Albuquerque and how long he'd been there for, etc. Overall, it was a great experience, and if I were to come back to Albuquerque anytime soon, I would be...
Read moreThis place is the the definition of a family owned restaurant and why we all should support it. My father passed away but before he did he wanted to see his new great granddaughter, eat macaroni and cheese, and drink a chocolate malt. He didn’t get the malt so after the funeral we called I Scream for Ice Cream and asked for 15 malts. Bill the owner asked what they were for and we told him. When my daughter went to pick them up, not only did he make additional one for my dad he threw in a few more. Bill was worried about how we would get them home so he gave us his personal cooler to transport them in. This is the definition of family owned and operated. Bill and Will, thank you so much for your generosity and for making this day a little brighter. My family wants to put a shout out to anyone/everyone to support this business and it’s owners and have a...
