I purchased a sectional from furniture row in el paso. Upon arrival, there were a few damaged pieces, and I opted to swap out the chase for the recliner. When the recliner arrived, the manufacturer mistakenly put a grey one in a bad marked brown. For 3-4 weeks I tried working with management there. Friday, July 12th, I went into the store and spoke with the sales person and Jorge the manager again. The sales associate showed me that the only one in the main for furniture row was on the floor in Albuquerque. I asked if it was possible to exchange my chase for the recliner. I was told that wasn't something that could be done and to give him another week or two for an answer as to what could be done. I was not about to wait for a total of about 2 months for them to try and figure things out. I took it upon myself and called the store in Albuquerque and spoke to the manager Daniel. I explained my situation and frustration to him. He advised that he would be willing to do the swap but didn't have a way to get it down to El paso. Seeing that it wasn't his fault to begin with and me just wanting the whole ordeal over with, I offered to waste my whole day and gas, to drive up there to make the exchange. Daniel agreeing to help me was the only thing that made my near 5,000 purchase worth while and salvaged my view of Furniture Row. Wish I didn't have to go to the lengths myself and it could've been figured out by management in El Paso. Daniels compassion and willingnessto help saved the company a negative...
Read moreThe furniture is very cheaply made. When people say, "You get what you pay for, " that absolutely rings true with this place. In the span of a few years, we've had broken chairs, broken bed frames, and jacked up couch cushions. The furniture seems nice initially, but it's not until someone stands up the wrong way or you disassemble it to have the flooring done in your house that you notice its true flaws.
All of their wooden furniture is made from cheap, knotted wood. When one of our friends stood up from a chair we bought, he leveraged himself oddly and one of the supports broke. It was then we noticed that the support had a massive, weak knot at the center.
The bed frame we bought had similar issues on the backbone piece when we took it apart to have our floors redone. These are pieces meant to support hundreds of pounds of pressure, but they're fragile and break under almost nothing.
The customer support for the chair was unhelpful and told us we needed to buy a whole new chair. The support for the bed was far worse and took about four months to get our replacement piece, and then they didn't even assemble it for us.
I don't enjoy giving low reviews, but please use caution when purchasing from here. Their floor models are of much higher quality than what you receive when you buy. Inspect everything and make complaints about poor support pieces as you see them, or expect a three month or more waiting period when the knotted wood...
Read moreWent to Furniture Row with the intent to buy 2 beds and 3 desks. I had already done some research on the items I wanted to purchase. Went to the store because the beds I wanted were on display at the store. My family and I have purchased bed sets, mattresses, tables, chairs, couches etc from Furniture Row in the past. So when our recent need for beds came up I knew where I wanted to shop because we have always had great quality products and excellent customer service from there. While in the store we had no help, mind you, the 4 other couples around us were all approached and asked if they needed help or if they found what they were looking for. Not me and my family after the other couples were asked so kindly. The sales people were not busy as they went back to others to chat. It felt cery apparent that because I am a person of color I had to wait for the 2 black sales men, who were busy, to come and help my family. Or I may have had to wait for the one brown man who was also busy to come and help me. I was so disappointed and disgusted by what I saw and felt. Needles to say I took my business elsewhere and purchased beautiful beds and desks. A place where as I walked in the door I was greeted and helped despite the color of my skin. I will not go back to Furniture Row and I will be sure to tell others to be weary. Such a shame that in New Mexico, one of the most diverse places we still have to deal with this...
