Read moreI wanted to love this place based on what I've had at Crème de la Crème but it just didn't do it for me. If you're going strictly for aesthetics, then yeah, this is the spot. It's incredibly Instagramable.
I had a Turkish (latte, not traditional Turkish coffee) off their luxury options which had a great flavor and one of their chocolate-filled donuts which wasn't nearly as much of a hit. I think it's supposed to be more of a cronut? The layers were there, but the dough was really chewy on the exterior and didn't have the crisp I expected. I spent $20 on these two items. They have one of the highest markups on alt milk ($1.25) I've seen.
I sipped my drink while waiting on the donut which (based on Crème de la Crème) I assumed was getting some sort of flourish. Instead it was handed to me in a plastic to-go container with a Kashmir sticker on it. I'm not really sure why that took extra time. Overall it's good, not great. I may go here again, but it's not something...
Read moreIt's not often that I have an amazing experience in Albuquerque for me to write a review about it, but this experience I had really blew it out of the water. I got an iced Habibi, and it had a beautiful blend of spices that paired well with the coffee. Good smoothness and not bitter as well that it doesn't even need sweetener, which was shocking as I have only experienced a coffee this good when I went to Seattle. My friend ended up ordering a Cafe Bonbon and she described the taste of the coffee as one she only has had in her dreams. As the drinks were being made I watched the two young men make them and you can tell that they truly have a passion and expertise in drinks. The aesthetic was divine as well, as someone who appreciates the arts I found that it was eye candy. I'm glad I saw a post about this on social media as it'll be a new...
