First of all the store experience was good. I am beyond disgusted with the disconnect between sleep number accounting, and sleep number customer service. My grandfather is 90 years old this coming January. He bought a sleep number bed to sooth his aches and pains. Delivery was delayed but we were cool with that. But the real trouble came when my grandfather saw a credit to his checking account. My grandfather paid for the bed with a check. He had the money in his account. He paid the full amount at the store, it was then withdrawn from his account on a few days later. Then for some reason, he received a reversal. We ask what happened and they said the check could not be deposited into the Sleep number account. We have never heard of such a thing and went to our financial institution to see if there was something wrong. Our financial institution told us that all was well and did not understand why they returned the funds. My grandfather went to the store to try and pay but could not since they said they could not take money when his sleep number account said it was paid. Who now’s what the heck is going on. Apparently no one. Sleep number then decided to send my grandfather to collections with no notification what so ever. He found out by a letter in the mail. He then called the collections agency and paid with his debit card, the charge went through on and we see the money was taken out. So why is this an issue - well my grandfather’s remote was defective, we want it replace. Sleep number will not replace it because they say we owe the entire cost of the bed. This beyond ridiculous. We went into the store to by a new one and that has now been rejected as well. We have wasted so much time, were sent to collections and have a bed that he cannot adjust. Read moreThe sales staff were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I was so excited after purchasing a bed from this location. Unfortunately, the after-purchase support was abyssmal.
Delivery was scheduled today, 17SEP24, 14:30 - 17:30. An unknown 1-800 number called me at 17:12: I answered the phone, heard nothing so I ended the call.
2min after this strange call, I received emails saying I have an appt on 27SEP without any explanation as to why my order was not delivered today.
All their offices were closed except for the 'home support/customer line' that could not explain the lack of communication.
Even the chat AI took 48min to connect me to an agent, which by then, I had forgotten I was waiting.
One of the emails seemed to suggest that their delivery service couldn't reach me and that was not the case.
We've waited for 2 1/2 weeks for our delivery and they have the gall to reschedule me to a date that is 1 month AFTER we purchased the bed without any explanation.
Unacceptable. Thankfully, this experience has shown me what nonsense I would have been dealing with over the life of this bed and I choose not to have this foolishness in MY life.
I have just emailed every contact I could find to cancel this order and send me instructions for how to return the accessories.

Read moreEDIT: Sleep numbers reply ignores that I have not been allowed to return my bed AFTER 30 days have passed. Dismissive approach to their poor customer service speaks for them. Sleep number will be retrieving the bed 2 months after purchase.
Buyer beware. Returning is intentionally made to be costly and they return your money to you slowly. We tried our sleep number for two weeks and realized it is a -very- poor bed. We called customer service make a return. They said we -must- sleep on it a full 30 days. They will not start the process under 30 days. We reach the 30 days and call to schedule a return. They state they will not come get the bed for ANOTHER additional 30 days because sales are more important to drop off so they are busy and that the refund will not be issued until 10 days!!! after picking it up. We will have to wait 40 days (post 30 day), 55 days (including initial wish to return) total to actually get our money back.
It also costs $400 to return this bed total. You pay for intial drop off and shipping back. You cannot bring it to the store or get it from the store.
