Mick's Chile Fix — Restaurant in Albuquerque

I read the other reviews and thought I'd give this place a try. I'd like to hear how those other reviewers got friendly service. I got to sit for a half hour watching staff make an obvious effort to avoid eye contact. Eventually, after people who came in after me had already eaten, I received a menu. After this, I was again ignored. At one point, the fellow who brought me the menu said he'd be right with me, then continued to do small errands for large tables who had already received their food. A few times he went back and got the phone. I chose to leave when he looked right at me and then leaned against a counter and began chatting with the cook. At this point, it really had passed the half hour mark. I'm not hard to please and am quite patient when I'm hungry and want to try someplace new. Seriously, though, how much time and effort does it require to come take my order??? I had to wonder if I had done something wrong... by the looks of the tables who received service before me, a hawaiian shirt and cargo shorts may have been too formal for the dress code... or, truly, I may have just been too white. It really makes you wonder to get ignored that long.

The food did look to have VERY large portions, and the price was low, but there are plenty of places in Albuquerque to get much better quality food and atmosphere for a comparable low price. From what I saw on other tables, the food was very low quality and...

I went with the head mechanic for lunch from lrc Trucking mention to him that I was hungry and he told me he has the perfect fix for me little that I know he meant to chili fix this place was adorned with World War 2 relics which included model airplanes and model ships the staff that waited on us were extremely polite very knowledgeable about the food in the menu and not just one came by to ask us if we needed coffee refills are drink refills or how our meal was doing but all three people that were working on the floor did the same it was pretty cool to be catered like out by every waitress instead of just the one that's attending or assigned to your table the food itself has excellent came on a very large plate very large servings and was actually the breakfast special for 899 called The Hungry Man special space is very inexpensive and I would recommend it to...

I love this place. I highly recommend It is a 10 out of 10 from their customer service to the flavor of their food to the food portion to the cost of the food. Everything is amazing every time I order to go it’s always the same thing consistent taste amazing food portions are ridiculous so if you’re hungry, you need to go here and if you don’t want to spend A ridiculous amount of money for a good portion of food you really need to check this place out from the breakfast burritos to the burgers to the enchiladas the combination plate. I’m telling you everything is a 10 out of 10 for me and this is just my humble opinion so if you haven’t tried this place yet please go try it the service is always fast.
