O'Neill's have an Americanized functional English/Irish bar setting inside with sparsely placed tables for four and six, following COVID-19 safety recommendations. Very pleasant arrangement. It also has a patio setting behind the restaurant building that is several feet below the Juan Tabo Blvd street level, the street being behind an even higher sound absorbing wall. This keeps traffic noise to a minimum for patio dining. Altogether, the patio area is private, with some small trees and a compact pumped waterfall. The menu has more, but creative, collection of hamburgers for the diverse American palate and a very thoughtfully chosen selection of Irish/English fare such as Shepherd's Pie, Bangers and Mash and, of course fish and chips. The hardworking waiters and waitresses will bring you small packages of salt and pepper, since keeping salt and pepper shakers adds to additional and unnecessary chores. Seeing and experiencing how busy they are to bring some more of the packckaged salt and pepper that I normally require, I strongly recommend you bring your own salt and pepper shakers from home. This would certainly help you devour your French Fries before they get too cold. I highly recommend O'Neill's for family and friends get...
Read moreA bit of a back-story: I used to come here almost daily after working-out to grab a burger and pint of beer.
What I told myself: exercise cancels out the excess carbs from the food / drink.
My life-choices have changed a bit over the years and I now find myself eating healthy meals and avoiding meat / alcohol. O'Neill's has kept pace and I am so happy to have the continued option of eating here! The vegan options are more than acceptable and I've found the iced-tea to be just as satisfying as a pint of Scottish cream-ale.
When I first sat down and asked about the vegetarian / vegan options, I was handed a separate menu with several dietary options. This was followed up by a complimentary sample of vegetarian soup. For the record, the soup was amazing and I ended up ordering a bowl of it alongside the IMPOSSIBLE BURGER, which appears to be a permanent menu option.
Overall, if you're exercising and get a craving for something a bit more substantial than a protein shake, O'Niell's offers a variety of different choices. One piece of advice however, save the pint of beer, burger, and fries for the special occasion.
Thanks guys for being so...
Read moreI'm giving 2 stars because my first experience was really good here. My soccer team plays nearby on Sundays and this place is close so we went to have food and drinks after our game which were good and so was the service. We all ordered food and tipped well. Considering we play an outdoor league and it's hot outside being summer, so its nice sit in the air condition after our game, relax eat and have a cold one. However today after our game about 15 of us went there and moved a few tables together inside and one of the managers came out at the end right before we got our tabs and told us "we love having you guys here, but with a party this size you all will have to sit outside if you come again, but we love having you guys here". Ummmmm, there was still about 4-5 tables open still, we tipped good, and why should we have to sit outside? We're paying customers like everyone else. To say the least, we none of us will be back to this location again ever, that is just terrible business and you guys lost a lot of customers doing this. Im going to share this on...
