Ordered carry out 5pm 6/01/2025, $75+tax+tip. NOT GOOD. Rangoons, the flat kind, smear of filling, just thick dough, no crunch, barely warm. Orange chicken just soggy goop, way too much breading, 2 square pieces of raw green bell pepper. Fried rice had brown, dry, shriveled egg pebbles, NO flavor, and forgot peas and carrots. XOXO Connection, paid for extra mushrooms, was one mushroom in dish, about two tablespoons of watered-down sauce, basically just lots of nearly raw broccoli, carrots, celery, onions. Ginger was not fresh, old, dry, brownish. Fried dumplings were not freshly cooked, barely warm. Ginger salad, brown, wilted, one tiny teaspoon of dressing in middle. Hot/sour soup just glutonous broth, no substance. Asked for no utensils, got tons. Lady who said she was an owner was rude, argumentative, refused any refund to credit card, finally said I could come and get gift certificate for $20 but only if today. Have been eating in and carry-out here for over ten years, has gotten progressively worse. Have also eaten lots of sushi and rolls here. Huge rice to tiny fish and filling ratio. Seaweed wrap is thick and tough to chew. Seafood is sometimes dry, like it was pre-cut. Tempura is waaaay too GREASY! Menu(s) are kinda confusing, dishes not well-explained or innacurate. Food inconsistent, depending on cook. Iced tea tastes old, is cloudy, barely iced. Don't eat here on Sundays. Are they trying to get rid of their leftovers as they are closed Mon, Tues.? Don't order online because if they mess it up, there are no refunds. Good luck ordering carry out by phone, depending on who answers that can be frustrating. Too bad this once really good little place is...
Read moreI like this restaurant. I like the people at this restaurant. But, there are a few things that I don't like, and as a result I have to give it three stars out of five.
One problem is that they're not adequately ventilated. There's a lot of crying going on in the kitchen, and the smoke from the fire in the kitchen seems to permeate the restaurant. I think that they try to open the doors for ventilation. It's really not adequate. And, from time to time, the smoke is heavy enough to burn my eyes. Even when it's not heavy, it's uncomfortable. It's difficult to breathe, and sometimes makes me cough.
As I said, I like the people. But, when they get busy, they forget about some of their tables. Sometimes when you're busy, they ever remember to come by, but they don't really ask if we need anything or wait for an answer. They just dropped food and go.
Finally, I'd say I'm a little irritated with how the coupons work. The coupons don't have a lot of value. Specifically there limited to some small dollar amount. That's fine. For the most part I don't even remember to use the coupon. But there are a lot of restaurants that use issue coupons then actually add value. Perhaps buy one meal get one free. I'm just getting to the point where I want to take advantage of a better coupon, especially in light of the other problems that I've outlined above.
I think that purchasing a grill hood, or grill exhaust fan, or fixing the one that they have would be a huge step in the right direction. So, holding something like a training class with the service people emphasizing the service portion of bringing the food to the table would be...
Read moreIf you enjoy spending your hard earned money on food and it being absolutely disgusting... then go here. What a huge disappointment. Ordered through uber eats but that wasn't the problem. Husband was out of a town and wanted to treat myself to some good food and wow, I am upset this restaurant was the place I chose. $50 down the drain, literally. Sweet potato tempura roll was so boring and too large width wise. The sweet potatoes were hard as rocks, inedible. The avocado and cucumber roll was falling apart. and the avocado was brown. The green chili tempura roll was also a royal mess, couldn't pick up without falling apart and the tempura was soggy and falling off. The chicken yaki soba was the worst of all. Yakisoba means "fried noodles" and these were just boring ramen noodles NOT stir fried or anything. There was NO flavor. The chicken was chewy. (See photo, there is a some brown appearing sauce in the bottom section because I added soy sauce to try anything to help this catastrophe) Honestly, stay far away from this place. I wish I could be refunded both my cash and my wasted...
