The worst customer service ever! I waited in drive-through line for 30 minutes. I had placed my order on line and paid for it an expected it to be faster and easier. Nope! Worse! The message i got after placing my order online was, to wait to drive through line and tell them that I had a online order. He then said to park in the front. ( which is what the message online should have said) so I waited in the drivethrough for no reason. I waited a additional 15 minutes where they sent me. All the cars that were in front and behind me, they got there food and were probably home already, I was still waiting. I called the store and asked for a manager, person was very rude, never evan said just a minute or please hold, just silence. The manager came on, I explained why I was upset, he started yelling, your food is on its way out! And hung up on me! This is a minus 5 stars rating -5 for horrible service,bad management, bad training for employees. Maybe the owner has mad his staff angry, don't know but, I am pretty sure your better off at somewhere place that cares a little more when these things happen. Maybe the location on the west side will be better?! I will probably try that, as this location is bad news! Lines are long because the cashier doesn't seem to know how to get orders out and speak to the point with a sence of please, let me take your order. This business won't be around long with this kind of service. Manager needs to find another job also, not in management. You don't get to hang up on customers, not if you want them to keep buying your product. Probably won't be a case of lesson learned. Shame on you Popeyes on san Mateo! Shame, shame! Read moreWe'd had a really bad Friday. So, when Saturday rolled around, we just wanted to veg & chill out. My daughter ordered Popeyes from the San Mateo, Abq. location to be delivered by Door Dash. She ordered a 16 pc. & an 8 pc. chicken tenders. They messed up the order & sent a 16 & 8 pc. box of legs, wings, thighs & breasts. She called & spoke with the manager & he told her to bring it back & exchange it & that we could go through the drive-thru if we didn't want to come inside. My daughter said she didn't think he heard all that she said. My grandson & I drove the 8 miles into town & the guy at the drive-thru recognized the name. When we got to the window, he hands me a box with 6 chicken wings! I told him that was wrong & handed him my bag with the receipt still attached. He pulls the receipt off & says, "You ordered chicken, we packed chicken. It's no my bad." I explained that they packed the wrong chicken & we argued for a time. I asked to speak to the manager & he stated he was the manager 🙄. Finally, he asks my grandson, "Are you hearing her?!? You understand, right?" He's said, "No, I don't. We ordered chicken with no bones & you gave us chicken with bones." That seemed to spark something, so he asked us to pull over & he would change the order. My grandson thinks he didn't know what a tender was. The order cost $116. I wasn't leaving till it was correct. So we pulled forward & waited & he brought the corrected order out to us. I thanked him & we left. The food was good & at least it was hot, but we won't use that...

I purchased a good sized meal last Friday and was asked to park and wait for the order- no problem as I do understand that it was a somewhat large order for my family. I was promised 6 minutes and waited 20. Extremely nice Employee which brought me my food and thanked me again for my patience. I asked him if that was all of it and he assured me that it was Unbeknownst to me when I arrived home (25 miles away) I noticed that I only had 1/3 of my order. I was missing almost everything that I ordered. I called the location number 8 times where it rang 10 times each and then disconnected me each and every time. Out of unbelievable frustration I found their national number and made a formal complaint which gave me a reference number and assured me that someone would be in contact with me in 24- 48 hours (I guess that my family can wait a few days to eat?). That was Friday, this is Monday afternoon and I've still not heard back. Called the store again and same deal with the phone. At this point my frustration is at an all time high and no charges have been reversed from my form of payment.
