Good food and drinks. Friendly staff. High quality drinks. The matcha is seriously good quality. It’s smooth and flavorful with an easy, sustained energy boost. I had mine with oat milk and it’s one of the best matcha lattes I’ve ever had. My friends all had 3 different coffees and everyone was super happy with their drinks. They serve them at the perfect temp. Hot enough to actually be hot but not so hot that sensation in the tip of my tongue is a pleasant memory. It was a little frustrating that I couldn’t find their menu online but I think that’s because it changes. The staff was genuinely friendly and they’re knowledgeable about their coffee/products. The breakfast burritos were pre-made but really good. I had a vegan burrito with pintos, potatoes and vegan cheese and it was delicious and big and the fillings were well seasoned but not too salty. I split mine with my friend and it was a comfortable amount of food for both of us. Great place with a cool atmosphere. Highly recommend.

This might be one of my favorite study spots in ABQ- the iced matcha with oat milk is fabulous(though if you are on a budget they do charge 1.30$ to change to oat milk- starbucks charges around 0.70$ for comparison). Wifi is reliable- you have to be strategist with seating if access to power plug is needed but most of the seats have them. The bathrooms are very nice and overall just a very cozy spot. (Ooh pups are also allowed so that can be fun or something to keep in mind incase you are allergic) seating in general is nice- there is a wide variety from window benches to couches to tables of various shapes! Some outdoor seating available but only really great until before noon d/t there being no shade. One thing to note is that currently there is no A/C so on the warmer afternoons it can get a little toasty inside- today however they did seemingly have more fans inside which helped with the temperature and provided a lovely white noise background. You should check it out and enjoy!

I come for 1) best brewed coffee (free refills), 2) gorgeous place to sit, 3) chill baristas + patrons. My number one rec for people visiting Albuquerque and always my first choice for work coffee meetings -- truly the best drip coffee in town + excellent other drinks too (red chile chai, mocha, almond milk latte, espresso....) -- and the perfect place to tuck away for work, meeting up with someone, or thinking/writing. Slow Burn is a beautiful expression of Albuquerque -- plaster walls with a mural and high ceilings, more of a minimal living room vibe rather than an industrial vibe, set in a quieter corner of Albuquerque (Wells Park), careful small flower arrangements on the tables, lovely outdoor seating along a quiet street. There's no other space like it here. Albuquerque can feel like a small town, and Slow Burn hits the best of both worlds -- it's a go-to spot, but I also feel I can show up and feel anonymous when I want to. The folks working there are chill, straightforward, and super respectful of everyone's space and time -- they are absolutely, absolutely one of the reasons I feel so at ease there. Hard to imagine Albuquerque without Slow Burn -- we are lucky to have the space itself and the...

I was super excited to try this place while traveling through NM. As seen on tik tok and eagerly looking forward to seeing the cool artwork, giant fiddle plant and tasting the coffee as i read u roast your own beans. Boy the disappointment! The matcha was absolutely horrible. I asked for extra matcha in hopes it would add flavor but still was overpowered by the taste of oat milk (not a fan of the flavor of the oatmilk used) is the matcha just culinary grade and NOT ceremonial grade? Even with extra matcha, the color was still very pale green. :-(

Tossed the matcha and ordered a vanilla latte. And red chile latte Again, left disappointed!!!! DO NOT ORDER THE RED CHILE LATTE. I get the allure.. but the taste, absolutely no bueno!!! The beans are overly roasted and the latte was bitter. I believe you need to check the grind size prior to pulling the shot.

Although you missed the mark on peoduct the sevice was good. Didn't go out of their way to be overly friendly which i never expect. The atmosphere is so dope!...

So I have gone to Slow Burn quite a few times now. The coffee and atmosphere is amazing. The burritos are also really well made too. I have taken awhile to write my review only because my experience with the baristas/person taking my order has never been pleasant. I look forward to my cup of coffee in the morning because it makes my entire day. Being in the area, I decided to get my coffee at Slow Burn however without fail, the woman getting my order did not smile and almost immediately made me feel unwanted. I try to give people benefit of the doubt and maybe they are just having an off morning. However it’s every time I’ve gone in that the person taking my order is just unwelcoming. The coffee is amazing but it’s not worth the feeling of being an annoyance. I know we all fight our own battles daily and I’m very empathetic to that however it starts to bring down the vibe when every interaction I have with someone there isn’t welcoming. I hope with time, this is something that will improve because the entire...
