Just came in from work and I eat at McAllister at least twice a week order the same thing and I have paid with hundred dollar bills countless times I’m a mechanic for living and have tattoos and lil girl with blue hair inspected the 100 dollar bills in light and with marker and it looked like she asking the girl next to her bout it I felt highly judged by my appearance and have never had issue until now I felt like she was trying to find it to be a fake just by how she turned around went to counter held it in light then marked it and showed other girl usually u guys just take money n mark it but today is only time I’ve felt truly judged and I’m very disappointed in the blatant effort she put into verifying it . Everyone else I’ve dealt with has been top notch service except her and highly offended and I said to her after she finally got back to register it is real n she didn’t say nothing except my change amount no comment on me saying it was real .im Christian a business owner and I would never ever do to the amount of effort she did to verify my money .once again the order name was for Joey I order same thing everytime king club look up how many times I come n this is first time I’ve felt judged and prob wont be coming back inside ever again id rather pay extra and door dash it and just because of embarrassment i just felt I don’t want to even come in . I dint catch her name but she had blue hair im still in parking lot because I have enough respect not to say mean thing or judge her like I could have but that was totally uncalled for she could have marked it instead of making me look like a criminal and roll camera back if no one believes me and again when I said it’s real she knew I was offended cause she just responded with change amount don’t hire ppl who judge it’s not right I work hard for my money and I hope something is said to her bout courtesy and not making it bluntly obvious that u looked in light asked another girl and marked it im so upset I doubt I’ll be back inside ever cause I feel if u gonna judge me like that ill have someone else get my fav food for me .this has never been issue in past I’ve paid at least 7 to 10 times with hundreds so thank all other employees who treated me respectfully but the blue hair girl needs learn common decency instead judging ppl by wearing work clothes that expose my tattoos very unprofessional . Read moreI KNOW that it is Sunday afternoon. Which means I understand how busy it gets when church let's out however the service we received was not okay. Waiting in line ( reading the menu) a skinny blonde girl hollars at me she could help me. So I finished reading and was heading over when I noticed her throwing her hands up at me for taking time to finish reading the sentence on the menu - strike 1. Strike 2- she then kept turning around talking to other people while trying to give my order, we did have a large order so I feel like paying attention would've been a good idea for her. After her taking the order the food starts being brought to our table and half of it is wrong. We tell them it's wrong and tell them what the plates should be. After waiting another 15 minutes with no new plates I asked ANOTHER employee ( short girl, dark hair, glasses) if we could please get the salads we ordered. She said sure and disappeared. While all of this is going on the table behind us was having the same issues of several items left off the order or were wrong. We also witnessed several people having to find employees and ask them to clean tables so they could sit. She came back a few minutes later asking me AGAIN what it was we ordered. I told her again. Strike 3- we FINALLY get what we ordered and we still didn't have the extra ranch that was asked for several times through the whole deal. My mother in law asked her for the extra ranch and with an attitude she said yes. I have extra ranch hang on. She disappears again comes back and throws the ranch down on the table and with a very condescending tone aks me if we finally have everything we need and walks off. Now again, I UNDERSTAND how busy they were and I've worked retail and restaurants before. So I know small things go wrong and pile up and it makes it hard to get everyone on track working as a team. Read moreFood is good. Service is excellent. The reason for the three stars is the advertising. I ordered bulk soup today, 1/14/23. The app said it serves 4. Any reasonable person would expect that to indicate you would get four bowls out of the container. Sorry, this is simply not the case.
Lets say a small bowl = 1 cup (8oz) A large bowl might equal 1.5 cups (12 oz).
So, serves 4 would indicate an amount of soup/chili between 32 and 48 oz. The container I received that "serves four" contained 26 oz. A little over 3 cups of soup/chili.
Therefore, more accurate advertising would be that the bulk soup serves 3.
Again, the food is very good. The advertising should be changed as the downsizing happens. Better yet - quit the down sizing and raise prices. At least this way, the customer won't feel cheated.
I for one, will never order bulk anything from the McAlisters again. If they down size the sandwiches, that may have me skip the store altogether. The advertising is what caused the three star rating.
