I came in about 7 pm on a Thursday night and noticed the neon lit La Posada Specials board posted in the wall just as I entered. There were some interesting dishes advertised, one of which peaked my interest this particular visit. That was the "Molcajete". Chips and salsa were placed at my table promptly after I was seated. I wasn't fond of the size of the salsa bowl. Kinda odd to have to mention, but it wasn't very big around, so you really need to break each chip in half or into smaller pieces to get a real scoop of salsa. And... I thought the salsa flavor/consistency was just.. OK. I ordered the molcajete and my goodness... the presentation was remarkable. The dish itself was huge, overflowing with fajita, chicken, shrimp and nopales (grilled cactus). It also had a grilled/fried hunk of cheese in it, onions, peppers, grilled jalapeño, and charro beans in the bottom. That thing could easily be shared by 2 people. It was a lot. It was delicious! It was accompanied by a plate with rice, which I thought was also just... OK, a small portion of shredded lettuce, sour cream & guacamole. The rice just didn't seem very fresh. It wasn't soft, steaming. It was probably what was leftover from the day. That's OK. I would definitely recommend the molcajete though, to share, or to plan on taking leftovers home with you. If there was a smaller portion, I would have ordered that. It also wasn't cheap, at a price tag of $38.50, which wasn't posted on the "Specials" board. I also didn't see it in the menu. That's my fault for not asking. But it was a...

I have never been so disappointed in a meal. If I could I would give it zero stars. First off walked in and went to the bathroom to wash my hands when I came back it was one minute after lunch ended but even though I was there before lunch ended they wouldn’t let me order off lunch menu. Annoying but whatever. I ordered a chimichanga. It comes with cheese sauce and enchilada sauce. I said I didn’t want enchilada sauce just cheese. Well I get it and it has both sauce in tiny little cups. The cheese sauce wasn’t even half full so I asked if I could have a little more. So she took back the tiny cup and put some more in. THEN when I got my bill they charged $2 for it. I asked what they $2 was for they said for adding more cheese sauce literally it was the cup that ketchup might come in. Tiny cup and they filled it up and charged me $2!!!!! I will never return to this place. Worst experience in a meal. They didn’t tell me it would be an up charge to FILL UP THE CUP that came...

So the food is great! Seems to be all homemade! But if you’re going here for just the food you’re there for all the wrong reasons. This place has by far the best staff and service I have ever experienced in my life with no exaggeration. From keeping the food coming in a timely fashion to being waited on and served by many throughout the restaurant. They have master teamwork and it shows. Never had to wait on anything and always had everything. If you’ve never been don’t waste your time any longer and make this your one stop shop. The menu is full of amazing choices but if you’re every tired of eating in places where you you have to wait to get a refill for a few minutes or your food takes too long to get out or you can’t find your wait staff then go here and let them show you how being waited on should feel like. This is the restaurant everyone wishes they had...

First the good. The service is super fast. The margaritas are really good. I love the grapefruit in the drink. Now the bad. I order a Chili Rellenos. Every Mexican restaurant I have ever been to has always battered it in egg and fried it, except here. I don't know if they just don't know that's how you are suppose to cook it or what. The menu says Chili Rellenos but all you get is a pepper with ground beef. Really disappointed in that. The price was good for everything. I might come back.

We surprised these people with 20 people half of those wild youngins the minute they unlocked the door. They didn't miss a beat. Our server was on top of everything even though he had picked up other tables as well. Food was flavorful unlike some Mexican Restaurants that tend to be bland. One of the only places I have been that had an authentic enchilada sauce. Was very please along with my entire family. Definitely recommend this place. The queso was on point as well as the margaritas!
