The customer service here is absolutely terrible!!!! For all this I could have travelled to Chantilly! I would have gotten better service. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised because they actually had a lot of things in the store. In June the store looked empty compared to the Chantilly Store. I picked up a few items and checked out through the app. However things turned around when my husband and I went to the door to leave out. The person checking the receipts were rude and disrespectful. I brought a pack of 3 Dutch oven pots. There were 2 in the box which made it seem like the 2 could be brought as a set. When we got to the door, the lady there told us rudely that the set wasn't a set but it was only to be purchased as 1. I understood what she was saying but she was loud and she almost dropped the pots out of my husbands hands. This is what I thought was terrible. She was loud and adamant about what she was saying and rude. Its not so much what she said but how she said it. I was so appalled that I took the items that I purchased and returned them on the spot. I would rather wait to return my items than to be spoke and dealt with the way this person treated us. I am sure that this would not have happened in Chantilly. It seems like it is worth the drive to get people that actually care about the customer.

I been a member of BJ's wholesale club for a long while now, this location has a lot just as the others do how ever the staff at this location is not to good the management is rude as is a lot who work here the company would do well to give all employees who work here training on customer service, as well as how to talk to customers with out being rude or tring to run over them with a cart. They also need to stop being Rachel to words black and Spanish customers, the employees need to learn to speak English. All this includes the GM and all the management at this location as well. Long whates in line to check out this is most days here the check out line so long it goes all the way back and a round throw the deli or longer all because only 1or 2 cashiers ever working and the self check outs mabby 1 works.

Fresh fruits, tires, household items, check! BJ’s has you covered. This particular location has a huge parking lot with tons of carts ready for the customers in the parking lot. Fresh smile and hello greets you as you enter the store. Rows and rows of various items, so you will want to have time to walk up and down each isle so that you don’t miss anything. Staff are professional and helpful and can be located walking the isles to assist with any questions you make. This store is ā€œspotlessā€ in regards cleanliness. I watched a gentleman walk around with a dust rag and broom to ensure everything was clean and presentable to the customer. You maybe a SAMS or Costco person, don’t sleep on BJ’s for the same quality, value that you get at other big box warehouse stores.

This is the worst BJ’s I’ve ever been to! It is so ridiculous in here and I will never acquire a BJ’s membership! First of all the first Customer Service members agent that assisted me could not get into the system because she was locked out the manager put his password on there, preventing her from doing anything!

The coworker that was next to her refused to help her after she saw her struggling with the system. She proceeded to continue to take other members in front of me after I had been waiting 10 minutes just for a membership at a register. The original member customer service agent proceeded to call the manager who took his sweet time, coming up to the register, knowing that she did not have access to create any type of membership for.

Then we coworker gets frustrated because I’m asking her to help her instead of proceeding to wait for the manager because she has full access to her system. Everyone is looking at me like I’m crazy because I’m asking for them to help each other which they should have known to do! So she finally proceeds to help me and then she can’t repeat anything back that I’m saying! I told her my email three times and then she started saying the system won’t take my email! At this point you’ve got to be kidding me. The manager finally shows up and he proceeds to take the customer that was waiting behind me and still will not help these Customer Service agents that cannot sign me up for a simple membership. The manager is very sarcastic, giving me this half baked, rude, un sincere apology as if again I am wrong for being a little aggravated at this point that I have waited for a membership now almost 30 minutes! The coworker, who finally decided to step in not only tries to print out a card, but my name is still spelled wrong after she had my drivers license in her possession. Needless to say, I walked out without a membership! I do not like my time to be wasted! I have things to do and I am a faithful Costco member! I wanted to try BJ’s just because it’s a little closer to my house but I will drive out of my way to Costco before I ever entertain another BJ’s Wholesale Club again! THIS...

Every store in this chain has slightly different items but all stock basic things. Every time I have been to this location, and I go at least once a week because I live less than a mile away, it is clean.

The clothing department is frequently rumpled, but if you go early, it is organized. You can actually see customers making a mess. You can't expect a clerk to be there all day cleaning up after these people. Gotta say that I have seen the same mess at the upscale places at Tysons and Tysons II.

The deli people are very accommodating. I was looking for thin sliced pre-packaged ham without the attached turkey pack, and I asked the deli guy. He was cleaning up to close. He came out and looked with me, and when we couldn't find any, he opened up and gave me a slice of honey ham to try out before slicing up my order.

The staff will help you out if you are polite and not rude to them. I have stopped to say hi to staff I see frequently, and they have all been very helpful -- calling around to find an item that they don't have or have run out of; hauling out the lift to get items down from the top storage; schelpping stuff out to the car when I had an injury. If you are rude to people, you shouldn't expect them to love you back.

The customers, yeah, some are third world. But, frankly, no worse than the pencil necks and self important folks who shop at the "competitor with a C" down the road at Pentagon Center. I belong to both store chains because I shop where I happen to be when I have time. The C stores may have more registers open, but there are always looooooong lines, the parking lots are chaotic, the customers are pretty rude and self-serving, and they are not particularly well organized either.

Shop where you like, but don't expect a "warehouse" store to be a personalized boutique.

Love my local...

Just went shopping at BJ’s in Alexandria, Virginia located on Van Dorn St. The cashier that checked me out, walked away in the middle of the transaction without telling me. Luckily, it was at the point where I was actually able to pay for my items He went to help a person at self service check out having an issue because no one was there to help them. I wouldn’t have cared, except he never said he was leaving to go help this person. I checked out myself and told him what he had done. Instead of owning up to it and apologizing, he told me patience. He then continued trying to talk over me when I told him what he had done wrong and what he needs to do while we made a scene in the store. BJ’s is good on pricing, but they hire some of the most unprofessional people that one could possibly have as a Company. I have been a member of Costcoā€˜s for very long time and I’ve only had maybe issues with three members, in three decades. This is my first time confronting an employee, but I watch and observe, and sadly a good chunk of them are people that clearly need to be retrained, let alone not even be hired. If you actually want to make more money, BJ’s, maybe follow the Costco model of how customer service truly works.

I will add that I have had interactions with a few fantastic employees here and don’t want to lump them in with the clowns like the cashier that checked me...
