Very rarely do I post Google reviews, but this one is warranted and not for a great reason. Came into this location this morning (typically go to the King street location) and ordered a 20 oz nitro cold brew with a little bit of ice. Yes, I'm aware that Nitro cold brew doesn't typically come with ice.
Young lady hands me the drink and I pay (+15% tip) at the kiosk, but something looks 'off' - there's way too much foam. I step away from the register and sit the drink on the table next to me to wait for the foam to settle and level of coffee to rise, but it never does. I walk back to the register and ask her to take a look and her first response is, "Nitro doesn't come with ice", which was extremely rude. Kindly ask her to repour me another one with no ice and she 'huffs and puffs' about it.
She then proceeds to apologize to everyone in line as if she has to make a custom drink (not pour from a spout) and that I'm inconveniencing the entire shop. There were 2-3 other people working, as well. A young lady (waiting in line) that she (the employee) apologized to looked at me and said, "It's okay." Very small request met with a huge attitude, which wasn't warranted, especially after leaving a tip.
She hands me the cold brew, with no ice, and it still looks 'off' but at this point I'm annoyed, so I leave. The picture below is the coffee (no ice) 5 minutes after I stepped outside to let it settle - all foam, nothing else. Way too much nitrogen being pumped into the coffee. 15 minutes later, not much better, so I ended up just throwing it away without even trying it. At that point, I'm not coming back to say something's wrong if (I think) it's just going to turn into a scene.
Not sure who she is or what was going on today, but today left no taste (/s) in my mouth when it comes to Misha's. Please do better. You can buy good coffee everywhere these days; the experience continues to sell...
Read moreI chose a pistachio latte (hot). I often pick this if it's on the menu as it's what I consider something that is notoriously difficult to get just right. Misha's did a decent job, although it has a little room for improvement. I'd order it again, though, so I'd still recommend it.
Small indoor seating but there are a few tables out front. The best seats in the house, however, are the upstairs balcony seats. Great view!
I did not see much in the way of power, so don't anticipate any long term stays with your electronics. I never deduct stars for this but it's something I like to know before going to a coffee shop I've never been to before.
I ordered a sausage roll with my coffee. Not bad, but could have been better. I would probably go with a different choice next time.
Customer service cost them a star. I dealt with two employees, one very good and one lack-luster at best. The first employee who originally took my order seemed like he was utterly miserable. Having worked in customer service for years, I don't expect you to be sunny or blow sunshine up my butt, but if you give me the feeling that my mere presence is an inconvenience to you, you're going to probably take a slight hit on my ratings. Bonus: the employee who finished my transaction was very polite and professional. Also, feel like it's worth pointing out I was the only person in line before someone attacks me about them being busy. They were anything but.
I'll be back. It is...

Pretty much every negative review I see, are from people who don't seem to have a life outside their living-room. Imagine you have allergies but everyone is supposed to know and ask "if" you do......next time I'll be mad with the barista for serving me milk!! Because I am lactose intolerant, but somehow he is supposed to ask or know I am.
#2 You came and not greeted? The place is smaller than my living-room and very much likely, you walk int the wrong side of the place to order, and THAT is how I also thought I was being ignored the first time I went there. Read the signs. The LINE STARTS HERE.
#3 $9 for juice, why are you NOT prepared when you go out, knowing you're carrying small child(ren) with you? Just B.Y.O.J. next time.
#4 I don't use the Wi-Fi from businesses, I use my own, not to mention I can afford UNLIMITED data and I pay and extra $30 for 250GB of Hot-Spot. Can't afford "unlimited data"?
#5 What coffee shop is there that have ceramic mugs here in the U.S.? Oh! My bad!! The ones where you pay $20 for a cup.....yeah! Makes perfect sense. Misha's should have one for those with the real taste of Ceramic, not plastic.
If there is one thing I know about Alexandria VA, way too many Liberals.....I drink my coffee black, the way it's mean to be. I bet the 1 star reviewers put A1 on their...
