Dined in last night 11/15 about 9pm. The restaurant is mainly hotel guests: business people. SOCCi is advertised as a modern Italian restaurant, emphasis on very modern. Most of the interior is white tables, and then there’s color changing lights aswell as music. The music turns off around 10, so right when the restaurant will close. But the music is on the louder side. Many groups having drinks not dinner. It was relatively busy. There was about 3 servers and 2 bartenders working the bar. Not the best service I’ve ever experienced. Not the worst. But keep in mind, the hotel is a 4 star premium Marriott property. Wait time for food was pretty average. Caesar salad came at 9:23 and our entrées at 9:38. The small Caesar salad is about $10. It’s a good portion and tasted as such, my boyfriend really loved it. I thought the lettuce was a little soggy. For our main dishes, my boyfriend ordered the three little pigs flatbread and I had the Penne Bolognese. The flatbread was AMAZING, it had a sweet taste to it, cheese was great aswell as the meat and crust was crunchy. My pasta was a good size portion for the small, bolognese sauce was not something I’ve had before but still really good. Only thing I did not like too much was the pieces of sausage.. It was still delicious. Now for dessert we had seen another table order a Strawberry shortcake so we wanted to try it was OK, nothing special. The strawberries and purée were good, cream wasn’t too sweet plus theres just way too much of it. The vanilla cake itself was not as moist as it should be. Overall I would dine again theres some other items on the menu that...

Wonderful pre-concert meal, great for accessibility! Three of us went here before we went to Kennedy Center, since one of us is mobility limited. Great choice!!! In the Renaissance in Potomac Yards/National Landing. We had a burrata appetizer -- new experience for us and great! Mom had pasta Bolognese, husband had salad, I had grilled octopus appetizer, and husband and I had tortilla soup. Octopus had curried chickpeas, and was phenomenal. Great for a meal. Tortilla soup was very flavorful, although no tortillas, and server sheepishly admitted to that up front when I asked about crema (I can't have.) About 3/4 through his salad, my husband realized he got a different kind of salad. Server and manager were so nice about this... offered another one to go, which wouldn't work for us, so they gave us a dessert (flourless choc cake over raspberry), and it was super! Best of all, we could drive up to the door, let my mom and me out, then Tom got very close parking, on the street, for 45 cents, avoiding parking garage fees. The hotel and restaurant are beautiful. It was just a great experience all around for us. Very...

Upon arrival this place looked pretty promising. When I walked in the place looked really nice on the inside with the exception that you can see the pipes in the ceiling as well as several utility switches. The customer service was fantastic. I was so happy to get my food and then I got my food and I thought I got a kids meal. I could go to McDonald's and get a kids meal and get more food than I did at this place. The salmon was good but very small it was not enough for a rat and they have the nerve to charge 28 dollars for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My salmon was gone in less then 2 bites. The salad was terrible I've never had a more disgusting salad in my life. It tasted like they dug it out of the dumpster!!! It's a shame that a Dr Pepper was the best part of my meal. Overall I would give this place a 1 out of 10 stars. I only give it a 1 because of the customer service and the look of the place! everything else was terrible I never want to go back again. If you're looking for a good restaurant this is not the place. You should avoid at all cost!!!!! Worst Christmas dinner ever! THIS WILL BE THE WORST MEAL YOU'LL...

Pretty darn good actually. Sat at the bar and had amazing service and delicious Don Julio margaritas (no high fructose mix! Yay!). Excellent burrata and then their version of chicken parm. Why only 4 stars? The chicken parm was good (perfecty cooked) but just too salty. Not way too much but it was enough to overcome the flavors a bit. I realize this can be the norm in a restaurant but cutting back just a bit would make this dish great. Funky lighting in the place so I'm sorry about the horrid photos. :) 2nd time here just now. Food great including the desserts: flourless chocolate torte and bread pudding. I also had the sausage pizza and it was darned good with an excellent crust and overall flavors. I think this restaurant is really a solid 4.4.

We decided to grab breakfast after our stay at Renaissance Capital View in Arlington, VA. On the weekend, breakfast is served from 7am to 11am. Each item on the menu was pretty expensive, but after receiving our food, the results was disappointing. We ordered the Belgian Waffle. You would expect the waffle to be soft and fluffy, but it was hard and chewy. We also ordered the white egg spinach, and it was extremely greasy. The mushrooms and spinach was flavorless. Throughout the meal, the waiter made no attempt to refill our water. A small breakfast for two people ended up costing $40. Overall, we did not enjoy the food or the experience at the restaurant. If you are willing to spend some money on breakfast, I recommend trying some place else.
