China Wok — Restaurant in Algood

We went to China Wok for pick up tonight, 2/11/22. The food was beyond excellent. We’ve been here before at it’s always consistent, but tonight hats off to the chef. Plenty of veggies and obviously very fresh ingredients. The flavors were perfect and the vegetables were cooked to done and crisp. I don’t do lo mein, because it’s always overdone and under flavored. My husband ordered some and with the way all our other dishes tasted, I tried the lo mein. I regret not getting more than one carton. Egg rolls were the only “mediocre” part of our order and they were still good!

We chose beef and broccoli, kung pao, general Tso and orange chicken. We have a ton of leftovers for tomorrow- enough to feed our family 3x probably.

Not our first visit, but so good, it deserved a review!

Oh and the cashier was efficient, orderly, and they had us ready right at the time window they planned. Well done...

The food was very good and the service was excellent. We dined inside. The tables and service area for drinks was clean and appealing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I like spicy food and ordered the beef which was very good. I mentioned I like it hot enough to make me cry and was advised to order extra spicy. The extra was just spicy enough but still didn't bring tears. My wife enjoyed her chicken. I tasted hers and it was juicy and tender. The egg roll was nice and crispy and very hot. Other customers came and went though we were the only ones sitting at a table. I would definitely go back. I drive a large pickup truck and would say the parking spaces are on the small side. I use to love this place. I drive from livingston just to pick up food from here. The last time I got general tsos I was disappointed because the sauce wasn't right it tasted weird and different maybe even burnt. I thought I would try it again so I ordered lo mein general tsos rice broccoli and egg rolls. Not one thing was good.$39 just for noodles general tsos egg rolls ! The chicken was very hard we LITERALLY could not chew it! The sauce tasted more like a tangy BBQ. The rice was very hard and dry like it had been sitting out uncovered all day.
