Genovese's Pizza is a small restaurant that offers good Italian food. It may look like your average neighborhood pizza joint, but Genovese Pizza is anything but! I wandered here for late lunch on a Saturday afternoon, and was immediately greeted by a friendly staff and incredible aroma of baking pizza. I ordered their 10" inch (~5 slices) classic cheese pizza with pepperoni and tomatoes as toppings. The crust was soft, chewy, flavorful mozzarella, and great sauce. The toppings worked together beautifully. Like a good couple. Prices are relatively fair. Their cheese pizza starts at $9 bucks; $.75/ toppingsThe atmospheric vibe is very welcoming and relaxing. Interior decor is very simple. They have good indoor and outdoor seating areas; its clean and organized. Indoor dining area is very small and can be a little cramped when it's full unlike the outdoor dining area which is very spacious. Service is moderately fast. Staff are friendly and semi-professional. While they are near perfection, as she was about to deliver it staff server forgot to put tomatoes on my pizza. Parking is small located behind the restaurant. Overall, it's a decent pizza joint for a quick lunch or dinner. I will definitely come back to try other food. Two stars for the pizza and one star...
Read moreI haven't been here in a while. I was craving something different & decided to get garlic shrimp scampi to go. I unknowingly arrived at shift change time. The outgoing wait person was not very friendly & surprisingly overwhelmed as two parties who, finished with their meals, were waiting to pay, & I was waiting to order. Note: the three parties--a couple with their son; two women; and I--were the only ones in the place. The incoming wait person came forward to help the flustered wait person & begin their shift. The new person was nice, kind, apologized for the delay, & also took two phone orders, one before & one after helping me, then a couple walked in for a meal and their order was taken quickly. I suggest the first wait person might take some hints from the second wait person, be calm, be nice, be helpful, it will work out. As frustrating as it may seem, sometimes one has to stay a little over ones' shift to help transition. Also management, maybe install another phone line & another electronic check out device. My past times here, we sat outside; I learned the majority of the seating for this place is outside with only four very small tables inside. . Food was good. I...
Read moreIf I could leave no stars I would. This was horrible pizza, first when I asked for thin crust the guy said it’s not their thing. That should have been my first sign to leave. We still ordered a small pizza, what a waste of money. I asked for a thin crust pizza with basil. Wow, I didn’t think you could ruin a pizza but they sure did. It was not a thin crust pizza and then I was giving just a cheese pizza. When I went back to explain I was giving the wrong pizza, all they did was throw some basil on the pizza and told me here you go. When I asked did you just throw basil on top of the cheese pizza and give it to me. They said that’s how they make it, we just put fresh basil. I have never had a pizza that they do not bake the toppings. To make matters worse when we got home we noticed the pizza was burnt and there was almost no sauce. It was basically just burnt bread and globs of cheese. My husband actually got nauseated. What a waste of money. This was our first experience and our last we will not be returning. Your better off going to Charlie’s Trio or Italianos pizza in...
