Starbucks — Restaurant in Alhambra

One of my favorite Starbucks locations. One cause it’s close by to home and the staff is really nice and accommodating. I’ve been going here for about 3yrs now. I do miss the old crew before Covid but some of the new crew is just as great. I did wanna come on here and recognize Paulina for taking care of me instead of having me go to another location to pick up my drink. So this is my story. I guess their mobile order wasn’t working that day. I didn’t notice, of course. One of the girls at the bar said oh yeah our mobile order is off so it must of went to another store. So if I wanted to order something here I would have to get back in line which the line was growing already and I didn’t have time to do that. Also, If I wanted to cancel my order I would have to go to the location to do that. She definitely didn’t even wanna try to help me. So I decided to ask the next barista which is Paulina. I told her I’ve never done this and I apologize for even asking but I’ve already paid for my drink and I’m in a hurry could she help me out? She said yeah what was I drinking, she didn’t even hesitate and started making my drink. She made my day. Thanks PAULINA, you are the BEST!!! I appreciate you and keep doing...

Trying new Starbucks locations are a hit or miss and unfortunately, this location is a miss. As a prior barista, I would’ve looked at the print out of the drink I ordered and groaned seeing the list of modifications although, I’d still go through with making those modifications. Whoever made this drink did not look at these modifications that I pay extra for at all. When I first saw the drink, I saw no cookie crumbles but I understood that occasionally ingredients run out and there’s no time to update it online. No big deal, I get it. Then I get told they have also run out of my sandwich, once again, I get it. The moment I taste test this drink in my car, I know it’s not right at all. No toffee nut flavor, no coffee flavor, no extra java chip scoops and way too much mocha flavor. This was just a mocha cookie crumble frap with none of my modifications (not even light whip). First time at this location and I'm not coming back! The cashier was very friendly and I even tipped but as I was waiting for my order, I over heard a manager or whoever she was, scolding the other employees as she mopped, over something in the stock room that wasn't handled correctly. I thought it was very unprofessional and uncomfortable. When my order comes out, I politely asked the employee for 2 small cups of water but than she walks off... After she leaves I wait to see if she'll be coming back but she doesn't. I asked a barista for the same request but than she tells me that I have to wait because there's other drink orders ahead of me. Like seriously, how hard is it to fill 2 cups of water..?!? And besides, I was already waiting. By the time I get my water to get out of there, my order had already gotten cold. At this point I wanted my tip back.
