Tried out a new ramen spot that my friend highly recommended, and wow—it did not disappoint!
The menu is short and simple, but every option is packed with flavor. I went for the tonkotsu ramen, along with kimbap, karaage chicken, and takoyaki, and everything was absolutely delicious. The soft-boiled egg was perfectly cooked, the noodles had the ideal bounce, and the rich broth tied it all together beautifully. We also sipped on the house lemonade, made with freshly squeezed limes—it was so refreshing and tasty! My favorite appetizer was hands-down the karaage chicken, served with a creamy sauce and sweet chili sauce. The savory chicken combined with the zest from the lemon was just perfection.
On top of the incredible food, the service was stellar! Our waitress was super attentive and gave excellent menu recommendations.
Parking is a breeze, too—plenty of spaces in the lot behind the restaurant, right next to Kohl’s. It was surprisingly empty, which shocked me because the food quality and the warm hospitality made this spot a total gem. Can’t wait to come back and share this experience...

Haruya Ramen in Alhambra is officially one of my new favorite ramen spots! The broth is rich and full of flavor without being overly thick, which I loved—especially in the tonkotsu ramen. Their house spicy sauce is a must if you like a kick—it’s made in-house and adds the perfect heat without overpowering the dish.
I also tried the miso ramen + $3 beer combo, which is such a great deal, and the portions are generous across the board. The chicken karaage was crispy and juicy, and the spicy pork bowl (제육덮밥) was super comforting and authentic (I’m Korean, and I can confirm it’s legit!).
The restaurant is super clean, and the staff—especially our server Jason—were kind and knowledgeable with great recommendations.
If you’re in the SGV area and craving quality ramen with great service and flavor, Haruya Ramen is absolutely...
