Johnny Rockets & Hurricane Wings — Restaurant in Alhambra

WOW. They open Johnny's Rockets in Alhambra we enjoy Johnny's Rocket the look of 50's with twist of a modern look of today. The restaurant bring back the old classic of the 50's diner. The food is more modern but still have the classic comfort foods like burgers and shakes but now they serving chicken wings from a outlet called Hurricane wings. We decided to come to Johnny's Rockets and grab a burger and shakes. My wife order the Route 66 burger with Tater Tots and I order the Original double burger and onion rings.

We waited for our food to come and hearing classic oldie music it was nice. They brought out our food especially a draw cat made by ketchup. The Route 66 burger that my wife order looks good it have Swiss cheese and caramelized onions. My Orginal double burger look delicious took a bite juicy and great flavors in the burger I really enjoy it and the onion rings were great also come ranch dipping sauce by the side they very crunchy that I really like.

The Tater Tots were good and the service was good they were very friendly and helpful. Before we we order their well know shakes my wife got the Strawberry and I got the vanilla they were so good rice in flavors...

I know it's the second day of opening so not holding much against this place but was disappointed. Changed my mind last minute and got the Louisiana cajun rub or something. Regretted as you can see in pics there wasn't much of the rub anywhere. Went back to ask for a sauce of another flavor and it made a big difference. The wing itself was good. It was juicy and had a nice crunch to it but their wasn't any flavor from the rub. I got one wing that had a good amount of rub but out of 10 not good . Get a sauce if you get the wings also make sure you get the celery/carrots and ranch. Didnt click to me until I went up to ask for the sauce but at that point I just wanted to be done with it. Waited about 25 mins for the wings. Then waited about 35 minutes to get two milkshakes. I think the shakes were sitting there as the whip cream on one was metling. They forgot to put whip cream on the other one. Overall the shakes were tasty! Worth the wait no but it was nice to see part of my childhood again. No jukebox! I'm not sure if they're going to get one or what but step-dad was bummed about it (this didn't make me lower the stars). Hope this place works out...

1st and last time I set foot here!

The girl with the thick bat eyelashes they have as a cashier is RUDE!!! She had an attitude on her and the fat waitress with the long ponytail as well!!

The ponytail waitress gave the cashier a look when I was ordering my food (not my fault your burgers aren’t combos 🤷‍♀️)

The cashier was clueless!! She didn’t even repeat my order back to me, told me to swipe my card and after the charge informs me that they didn’t have onion rings available.

When my son got his kids meal, it came without cheese. I went back to the cashier and told the new cashier (young lady with glasses) and she said I had to pay for cheese. I told her the original cashier didn’t inform me of that since when I ordered my son’s food plain, she told me it came like that.

This location needs to retrain their staff in customer service because starting off with an attitude is not the way to go!

And I will be sending corporate a similar complaint as well because spending $86 on my family’s food to get attitude, dirty looks and talked about is not...
